What you think and reality are clearly two very different things. I've never seen any definition of molotov specify that the bottle had to be glass. Regardless, you're arguing a trivial semantic point. If a plastic bottle filled with flammable liquid was thrown at anybody, I think most people would agree that is a dangerous situation that merits a police response. Whether it's glass or not really doesn't matter.

I participated in a peaceful march last night on the west side of Cleveland. It was 80% Caucasian people marching. Cops kneeled with us. We can, and will do better.

It's an empty plastic bottle with a screw on water filter dumbass. Also that bottle looks pretty good for a plastic bottle that was supposedly on fire and filled with gasoline/solvents

Trump’s base doesn’t need a reason - they think he’s a god-king. There’s plenty of incentive to vote for Biden, though; he still wants cops to shoot protestors, but only in the leg. Is that not violent enough?

Who the fuck down voted this? Courts side with journalists that they have a 1A right to be there and document. Not sure about the other curfew orders but in Ohio it clearly states they are exempt from curfew. Absurd that cops all across the country are attacking the media physically and verbally and trying to prevent them from lawfully filming. This is undeniable. They need to learn the laws that they're supposed to uphold.

I do not believe the NBA is racist towards white people because 95% of its teams are owned by white people.

Why are white people under represented in the NBA? Because maybe black people are just better than white people at basketball? It is the same with football, 70% of the players are black. Maybe it’s just because they are better? Maybe it’s also because being generally more poor and disadvantaged than white people, they put more effort into sports because they see it as the only way that they would ever get a college education that would be unavailable to them no matter how intelligent they are due to financial circumstances.

If you think for a second that White coaches and team owners are being ‘racist’ towards other white people I have to assume you are trolling.

Bro this is EXACTLY why the protests are getting a bad rap and like @film said makes it easier for Trump-ers to ignore and ridicule the message. You have to stop with this "us vs. them" mentality thats only creating further division. This shouldnt be a political issue. This isnt about "capturing glory", making a scene, destroying property or fighting cops. The riots and looting are a byproduct of the systems in place but are not the REASON we're protesting.

This is about standing in unison and supporting an entire community of people who are crying out for help.

Protesting has always worked great to get media and national attention for a cause. Violence has always created division. Racism is not fixed through division, it typically makes it worse.

The Gaurd would not have been called in if rioters didn't turn cities into Call of Duty maps. Wage war like actions expect war in return. It does however piss me off when I see a large peaceful demonstration get treated with violence by law enforcement.

But its still not an excuse to create more violence and destruction which only hinders the cause and makes it more difficult for people who disagree with us to see the true reason for the protests.

What happened- cop pushes an old man who is by himself surrounded by 30 cops to the ground. Old man cracks his head open, immediately starts bleeding profusely and is unconscious. One officer goes to help him, other officers stop him. The two other protesters nearby (outnumbered 20 to 1 by the cops) get arrested.

I would say this is the most graphic thing I've seen from the protests but a peaceful protestor got shot point-blank in the face with a tear gas canister so....fucking unbelievable. If you're cool with this feel free to fuck off out of the U.S.

This is heartbreaking.

You'd think with how everything is going on that these bad cops would start to question their approach to handling different situations. But all they're doing is behaving worse and worse. The good cops and departments are starting to get active with making things right, and the bad ones are just like fuck it, no reason to hide my aggression anymore. Then there's all the beta cops who are too scared to speak up or do the right thing. My hope is if I were that cop that initially knelt down to help that I would've brushed off the officer in command to continue helping. That dude in command should be canned.

Is it possible to have interim police departments? Because I'm thinking they all need replaced with sane headed individuals until we can sort out the good from the bad cops. They're clearly inflaming the situation in many places. Like how tf do you discipline half an entire country of cops? Federal government? State government? Wtf

This last week the worlds seen the true side of the problem with the police, even my friend from high school who’s brother is a cop in our hometown is posting on IG calling out all cops. I’ve always thought the “not all cops are bad” and although I can see maybe a small percentage is, but if you work in the US as a cop you should fuck off.
