Mini ramp vs. astroturf+ kink box

for this summer, i was super duper excited about building a fun little 3 foot tall mini ramp in my backyard, but i just remembered, i have a drop in ramp for skiing, so now im leaning towards putting outdoor carpet down, and building some sort of flat down flat box or something with the funds...what are you're thoughts?

what i use for skiing is like this wire fence stuff for gartdens and stuff on wood planks. works perfect

and i guess you could take the wire fence off and drop in on a skateboard too
