Mini iPod or Regular iPod?

which do you think would be a better buy? The mini is much smaller and has a 4gb memory, which holds about 1000 songs, and costs $250. For $50 more, I can get a regular one that has 20gb memory, and holds about 5000 songs. What would you do?

i have a pink mini. girlie, i know. price wasn't an issue. it was a b-day present. i love it. i take it everywhere and it's great for in the car. it really depends on how much music you have. i really went through my music collection and found i have a ton of cds and mp3s that i don't listen to/hate and didn't put on my mini.

get a neuros its cheaper that both ipods and hold more for the price plus a bunch of other crazy extras like the ability to record off the radio and broadcast in fm

nomad zen xtra 40gb for bout the same price as a mini and totally rules. is a little bigger than an i pod though

iRiver is by far better. iPod are too overrated. Their battery life sucks a ton and the don't have many cool features. They are just for looks pretty much. Nomad made a player just recently called the Zen Touch. It has what they claim 24 hours of battery life. And a touch pad like Apple, with excess buttons. Check it out, 269.00 retail. It should be out anytime.

get the 20 gig, how much does it cost? like 400 dollars.

If you have a PC, don't get an iPod. People will tell you that it'll work, but not often, and can seriously fuck stuff up and just waste your money. Zen Nomads are good if you don't mind the size, and slightly less features. RIO Karma is the best product in my opinion, but I'd never get it because it's plagued with harddrive failures and shoddy construction. iRiver is my personal favorite, but I haven't checked out this 'Neuros' yet, looks pretty good.

iriver's are sick, they got a whole bunch of features and the only downfall is that it doesnt come with a music program and its a bit bigger than the ipod.

yeah i'm pretty sure they come formatted for windows now (FAT32) so they work with both mac ANd pc

killy802 i can get the same deal its called educational pricing. thats only for a limited time too. plus you have to buy a laptop to get it that cheap.

 
mine came in the mail today and it's the best purchase i've ever made...i transfered 120 songs in a minute and 20 seconds. i would reccomend it to anyone whos looking for a new player

ipod 40g here in NZ costs $800, and there is a limitewde amount in the country, and then there not getting anymore in,and appleare bringing out something new apparently.

ElGato, it'd be hard to record songs off the radio unless you know the radio's schedule. chances are you won't be sitting in front of the thing all day waiting for that one song you like to come on, and even if it does come on you probably won't get the complete version.

i bought it at the apple store, and not new but *refreshed* meaning someone returned it to get one with more memory.
