Mini-DV Camera... Help.

I was just sent my tapes of footage from last year, they are mini-dv. Problem is I no longer have a camera to transfer them onto my computer. Im in sugarhouse so if anyone I know (or don't know) could let me borrow their camera to just upload the crap on my computer I'd be really really happy.
 
The tapes are all shot in HD, but my understanding is that any mini-dv cam would be able to get the stuff on the computer, quality might suffer a little bit. That doens't matter too much to me, its all personal use.
 
yo hit up the library at the u. They have dual monitor macs with high definition tape decks(just pop in the tape and transfer to computer). They are super fast also and i think they have final cut and the adobe suite. you need your id and password at the u to login if you dont have one ask someone who goes here for theres
