my jacket manufacturer says i can use mineral spirits to remove stains from my garment. wtf is mineral spirits, and where can i get it?

Not good idea, it is paint thiner, super strong, will take the colour out of your jacket, and take anway its water proofness, gore wash is your best bet, protect but does not clean too good, i use this product called "Mean Green" and it has these green eyes on it. You buy it at wall mart. Best bet. Takes every kind of stain out, plus actually makes your colours brighter.

It is differnt from "paint thinner" which is genrally acetone mineral sprits can accomplish the same thing, removing paint but is chemically speaking a little gentler also if you smoke make sure you thin it out with water
