once again, im no expert and talking out of my ass a good amount but..

i didnt mean i dont believe you that that practice was real. im just saying i cant help but doubt that's responsible for how people perceive long hair on a global scale. i mean, how many cultures have there been where long hair was the norm/respected?
 
he never said "global scale", or did he? i might missed it. i just know that i asked a career advisor about long hair on men, and he said that its bad.

not a feeling, but something fundemental about men with long hair. so i could live with that explanation.
 
never said global scale... in fact, all of the men from turban wearing cultures actually never cut their hair (hence the turban). When I talk about the middle ages, I'm talking about Europe (do you ever see knights and kings and shit in India or Africa ? ), which then applies to America, because its been colonized by Europeans. And if you dont believe that long hair has been stigmatized, then just look at how negatively long hair is perceived in a job interview and in the business world in general.
 
no i know long hair is stigmatized, i just was doubting that that anecdote is mostly responsible for it. the euro thing sounds like youre on the right track though. let's not worry about it sorry i said anything in the first place

Yea but you know how you hear your own voice inside your head when you think? Well, if you were born deaf you wouldn't know what sound is, so how would you think? Would you just see words in your head?
