STOP ALL CANNABIS ARRESTS

END THE PRISON STATE

www.globalmarijuanamarch.com

And then when they give you a chance by voting... "...then I got high, then I got high, then I got high."

You can rally all you want but when it comes down to it, hardly anyone shows up to make the vote that counts. Shows you something about what that plant really dose to a person.

haha 3 cities in massachusetts participating

and in response to skiierman's comment about the actuality of anyone really voting on the subject, it's next to nobody. my friends dad is one of the founders of masscann (they put on hempfest and stuff yah cool whatever..) anyways, he tried to run as some official in our town, and he tried to make it so possession of marijuana is a misdemeanor.

hardly anyone voted for or against it

it was pretty much just thrown out

oh, and he's been trying to get it legalized all his life

there seems to be zero headway relating to the topic

it just appears to be getting bigger fines, bigger consequences, all because of a plant

i tend to find that walking in a group can quickly change laws that have remained unchanged for years and years despite half the world disagreeing with them....just my two cents

have fun

I'm all in favor of legalizing and taxing the hell out of it. But there needs to be heavy restrictions on it. More so than alcohol. Americans abuse every privilege given to them.

I would legalize it under these conditions:

It must be more expensive than current street rates due to easier access.

You must be 21 to buy it and use it.

You must complete a state sponsored class to educate you on the effects and use marijuana to obtain a permit to buy it.

And it can only be sold in specialized stores, and mass quantities can't be purchased at once.

Strict penalties for selling to minors. And same rules apply for driving a vehicle as with drinking.

But I think the major problem holding back the use of marijuana in the US has nothing to do with government. I think many employers would continue to do drug testing evening if it was legalized.

why would it need stricter rules then alcohol? it is safer in every possible way and is way way way less addictive.

no overdose deaths or anything.

perhaps the same rules as alcohol?

Naw it can't especially just coming off being illegal. And it does do some damage to you, but it's hardly as obvious as alcohol. Alcohol is more damaging though, but it has been legal forever, with the exception for a small period in time.

alcohol rules are clearly being well listened to...

at this point, i'd like to see marijuana legalized, just so that everyone will finally be able to silence the debate and see if in reality marijuana is a good thing or not.

I'd say it'd result in the brain death of the nation, but we'll see.

^ With any drug, marijuana is not a good thing. Sure it may do some benefit in very select cases, but for the most part it doesn't do any good.

Thats so retarted, alcohol fucks you up more than pot. Marijuana isnt that bad, give it a try and you will see that its completely different than what you expected.

I agree with you somewhat. I think it should be legal. I think that the age should be 18, not 21 (no real reason behind that). I also think that you should be able to buy up to a qp at once, I just think the higher quanity, the higher it is taxed.

About what you said about the same driving rules. I think that a big reason it is still illegal is because there is no legit way to prove if a person is currently under the influence. So when you are ripped and driving around and get pulled over you could just say you're not.

Overall I think that it should be legal.

fucking GAY.. who wants to send me to VAN? I'd join if i can get there... too bad its like a couple day drive.. or like a 2 day bus ride.. or something... but if i could i would totally do that

Who are you so say what's good for other people?

Do you really need me to make a list of all the drugs that are useful? That list would be endless.

Short term yes alcohol is more dangerous. But long term pot is. There are twice the carcinogens in pot than in cigarettes. If you think cancer rates are high with cigarettes, you'd be amazed at the chronic problems marijuana will cause. Especially neurological problems after long term usage. Pot is also much more addicting than alcohol. Pot is much easier to carry and use than alcohol. But it can provide a similar effect.

The major reason why I'm in favor of legalizing it is because of the mass usage going on now in the country, and the missed tax revenue from it. And it's rediculous that so many of our tax dollars go towards prosecuting and pushing people for using it. The way I see it, we have a lot to gain from legalizing it, but we need to impliment measures to keep it as though it is still illegal, so people dont abuse it. Just the way americans do now.

The only reseason why I added the government sponsored class and permit, is to make it even harder for younger kids to get it. I know people will still buy it for other people, but it will be much harder to obtain.

But like I said... even if the government legalized it, the major problem is that I believe employers would still continue to conduct drug testing.

"If you think cancer rates are high with cigarettes, you'd be amazed at the chronic problems marijuana will cause."

haha he said that marijuana causes chronic problems. o man thats the point. gotta get the chron chron...

i gotta stop smokin this shit

I'm hitting it up again in toronto. Last year was epic. Thousands of people blazing right in front of cops.

I really don't think the number of marijuana smokers would increase that much. I, for one, wouldn't smoke more than I do right now (every few weeks on average), and still wouldn't want or let my kids become potheads, whether it's legal or not. I think moderation is necessary, but pot couldn't possibly be more abused than alcohol right now (probably 1/2 of the people between 18-25 abuse alcohol once a week...)

shut the fuck up. If you dont want to smoke it, then don't. We dont care what your opinion on the matter is. It seriously sounds like you are a brainwashed D.A.R.E graduate.

If you have been paying attention lately, marijuana is actually found to kill cancerous cells. A humoungous study in Canada came up with that conclusion. If you dont believe me, look it up yourself.

And dont even get me started on how far Hemp could take our world. You are sooooo fucking stupid if you think that cutting down trees is better off in the long run than growing large fields of hemp. BUT ZOMG!! WHAT IF SOMEONE SMOKES IT!!?? IT MIGHT EFFECT MY LIFE SOMEHOW!!!

Skierman shut the fuck up and live your own life.

I would not like to see marijuana legalized. It should be decriminalized for personal use.

With legalization comes:

-they can tax it, most likely it will be taxed heavily (probably even more than tobacco).

-it will become corporate...i could just see the tobacco companies making marijuana cigarrets and adding a whole bunch of shit to increase profits.

-it will be regulated by the government and the FDA and most likely be processed and filled with additives to make it "healthier" or more addictive.

-quality issues? it would suck if there wasnt anymore super dank weed or a lack of variety of strains.

decriminalization would make it "legal" to smoke, carry, and even grow enough weed for personal use, but not sell.

In most places where weed is legal it is not actually legal, just decriminalized

here ya go. It's not that hard bud. Weed is bad for you take it or leave it. There is not one good outcome of smoking week that negates the multiple bad effects it had. It affects dopamine receptors in the brain making it addictive. Anything that effects dopamine There is a reason why the term "pot head" exists in society. People smoke it on a regular basis due to the feeling it exudes. Therefore making it "addictive".

And yes I have smoked before. You're not talking to someone that's never experienced it first hand. There is nothing good about it, just like cigarettes. And the fact that you get so defensive about it, makes me wonder how the drug has affected the dopamine receptors in your brain.

dude running is addictive by your standards. If its addicting because you enjoy it im addicted to ranch dressing. You will NOT go through withdrawl if you smoke pot chronically then suddenly stop. The same does not hold true for nicotine, alcohol, painkillers, and other illegal and legal drugs. Fucking Brainwashed Frat boy

I'm not going to argue something with someone that has no idea about biological or medical science.

...I also think calling me brainwashed is kind of ironic haha... and frat boy... yes why I am in a fraternity, I am exposed to the affects of marijuana usage every day.
