Milage?

So those of you who drive, what are you getting for gas milage. I'm talking highway miles here. Idk why I want to know, but I do and I'm bored so post.

Oh yeah, I get about 18 highway on a good day with no headwind, soon as gas hits 3.50 a gallong I'm fucked...

i'm not sure about straight highway, but i'd imagine around 25, since i get about 20 mpg a tank, which is mostly around town. I drive a 95 cherokee, 4 cylinder

We used to have a boat that took premium. It really sucked cause no place on our lake pumps premium so we had to fill the thing up with 6 gallon tanks cause it was the only way to get gas to it, and it was a 52 gallon tank I think. Pain in the ass, gas hog too.

You could've just bought some octane boost to keep in your boat, that probably would've been easier. I try to always keep some in my car in case I end up in some hick town where everybody drives a low-compression truck and the gas stations only have regular gas.

My dad isnt that smart, and since we got rid of the thing in like 3 years it wasnt a big deal. Now we run an Evenrude(sp) E-Tech 225 HO, its a two stroke, burns regular, but its just as quiet and damn near as clean as the Mercury Opti 250XS. We stepped down in boats to, hence the drop in HP, even though the 225 HO supposedly turns out about 237. Sometimes I wonder how it is that our baots have bigger engines than some cars.

i have a 96 land cruiser that gets 12-13 on a good day. but it never breaks so i guess the extra money i spend on gas i save on repairs

FUCK you JOHN. but it's ok, my audi yolks compared to yours. and i'm more than double your milage anyways. but we should take that beast off fucking roading sometime.

oh yeah, and i've heard mixed stories on this, but does it really matter if you use premium vs. normal gas? i've heard there's basically no difference.

18-20 in my trans am, have to use premium as well, and gas here is in the 2 teens, hell when i first started driving gas was abotu $1 a gallon, paying 1.20 used to be insane

If you put regular gas into an engine that needs premium that's bad, even though a lot of retarded people say it's ok. The fuel will combust well before the piston reaches the top of the stroke, and this will create a force pushing back against the crankshaft (this is bad). Even though the spark is timed to go off before the piston reaches the top of the stroke anyway, buying cheap gas makes it ignite too soon.

2 if im lucky ah gots an escalade ext wiff about 10000 lbs o' diamonds an' gold in da interior so basically it cant jet over 5 mph, ah guess dat he`p but ah gotta keep it shine u nahh niggaz sho 'nuff!
