this whole 'cut off by snowboarder' thing sounds like made up crap. I highly doubt MSP would set up a 180 foot gap jump and sled Wilson in, yet leave it open, let alone even POSSIBLE for a snowboarder to cut him off. Wilson might take risks, but from talking to him on different occassions and shooting and stuff, i dont possible see him as the type of kid thats gonna just say 'oh fuck it, ill try anyway'. sure he overshoots some tables and trys crazy shit, but theres a line between trying new things and throwing yourself over an 180 foot gap just because. he wouldve just stopped and took another attempt

that's so huge! in 1242, that huge bc gap jump that pep wrecks his shit on, in the commentary Johnny D. said that it was around 200 feet, but no one made it. if you guys think its impossible to clear a 180 foot gap, realize that ski jumpers are going like 125 METRES off of ski jumps. i know the jumps are basically massive stepdowns, and the skiers have special skis, and they are travelling straight, but still, thats like over 350 feet if im correct...all of a sudden 180 isnt that big after all.

well the difference between this and ski jumping is that the entire way down on ski jumping there is a slope to land on whenever you come down. for this gap there is the jump and the landing and it sounds like it was a stepdown so that is pretty crazy

first of all...if they were to build a 180 ft gap, then why for gods sake, would they build it at one of the flattest mole hills is colorado. If you straightlined all of buttermilk you would be down in about 30 seconds. Why not do it at some hill that actually has some vertical...It just doesnt seem right to me...Hope you get better soon mike.
