The DIN's don't go hi enough on the line bindings for Wilson I would imagine. Plus I hear they prerelease like a bitch...and Mike doesn't like his skis to come off.

 
ya, Mike likes his skis to stay on so when he cases HUGE jumps he brakes even more bindings, or maybe so when he over shoots huge jumps he can still ride away after shattering all the bones in his legs haha

I dont know if anyone already said this but, most companies have spent their yearly budget and want to wait until this summer to pick up anyone new. I think that is why Sarah B. also went the most part of last year without a sponsor. What i was confused about is why was he not just using Scotts, maybe he did no like them I have no idea.

you guys are idiots, the reactor is a great binding. have all of you that commented on them actually ridden them before, ever? not your friend, not somebody you met at the hill, not some 14 year old on NS, have YOU personally ridden them for any length of time? doubt it. if you have and you still think they are pieces of shit than lets face some facts.

out of the 7000 pairs of bindings line shipped out this season only 2% have come back on warrentee. the industry average is 4 or 5%. 2 is phenomonal, pieces of shit ehh?

the fact is all bindings break at some point because we ride the shit out of them. i myself have snapped a few sets of breaks right off of my looks and had to have them remounted twice. you don't see me starting a thread about how looks suck every time i break mine. it's unfair to line for kids to come on ns and rip apart the reactors when in many cases it was the shops or the riders fault. and thats a whole 'nother issue i won't even get into, unless you want me to.

the reactor is solid, i ride it, i like it, wouldnt ride anything else at this point.

I have to say its like the TM issue. There's been some TM edge issues but for the msot part peopel rattign on them havn't even ridden them, but they have such a bad rap. I'd have to agree with the rider's fault thing. If you take care of your shit it won't wreck. It's stupid how NS can create such a shadow over a companies sick product.

/\ your bindings are most likely adjusted improperly. if you did them yourself there's a good chance thats the case, and even if a shop did them theres still a chance they are adjusted improperly.

go try this right now. stick your boot into your binding and make sure the little metal tab sticking out of the toe piece is in fact sticking out, and it has to stick out .5 to 2.5 mm from that tiny plastic piece around it. if it doesnt fall within those parameters your forward pressure is set incorrectly and you'll need to adjust the toe and or heel pieces to get the correct setting. my shop did them for me and totally fucked this part of the binding up and i had to readjust them myself. please check it out.

if they are ok, and you still are prereleasing make sure your DIN is set correctly. after all of that if you're still prereleasing you either

a. have a defective pair which is possible but not likely

b. you need bindings that go higher than a din of 10 or 12(depending on which model you have).

yeah apparently the reactors just need to be set in a more precise manner than traditional bindings, where you just set the DIN. Theres like other adjustments, I read that somewhere.

sherlocke is right...your profiles say you dont ride line...so how do you know reactors are shitty bindings...ride them and youll see that theyre a great binding...they just need to be well adjusted

if you have any equipment experience, dont waste your money getting the line bindings mounted. Its 4 screws to get them on. The instructions should tell you how to adjust your bindings to your boots.I know, at the shop i work at, the mounter dude has no idea how the line bindings work. He mounted them backwards on a pair of skogens. If you know your din and have any equipment experience, do it yourself. You'll have better chances of not screwing them up than the shop will.

you gotta up the Dins just a bit, the pivogy about half a mark, but no more than one. And the heel about 1 more, no more than 1 1/2 or 2. Seriously guys, the key to not pre-releasing is to stop sucking, or stop popping so shitty that you come out on the lip of the jump.

i really like my reactors, they pre released a bit in the beginning, but i tightened the din's and now they're great

 
I also have to say that I was excited, yet skeptical to try them, but yesterday I rode them on a pair of 184 Surface skis, and I loved them. I thought that they felt really solid, and I am a big rider -- 220+lbs. I can see how they might be weird in the park all day, but for everywhere else, they are really nice to have, especially that I no longer have to buy new bindings with every ski that I add to my quiver.

 
reactors are quite nice when you go for the mad trickage....that is if you land soft like a pillow on the snow, otherwise they will fall off like leaves on a tree in winter
