Mike Wilson: Eat your heart out

was it a risky flip?...the clip didn't work for me but if i remember right it's a d-spin 720 to backflip. The clip is probably from around 2000 when he, collins', and osteness were starting the big gap craze.

I can't believe you guys don't know that Rick has been doing that trick for about 8 years. The same with the Shrab brothers double misty 7 (two flips, and a 1440) on the windlip in Whistler. You guys suck.

haha did you know people like Jeff Bean and Kyle Nissen have been doing triple backs with 1800s in them for longer?

the ORIGINAL Newschoolers.com website (like 98ish?) had footy of jon mcmurray attempting a triple backflip when he was 15. i can't remember if he landed it..i don't think he did.

there are some threads about the windlip and there was footy at one point... twas pretty intense stuff.

jacob is now doing wilson 1260s, so it's on.

i was about to say, schrab brothers, eat your heart out. their double misties were so so nasty, and adam rocked his pocket rocket cuz he landed so hard.

the crazy shit is they learned to jump on hay bayles in wisco. the footage in that warren miller video of them is pretty accurate to what us wisco boys have to do to keep our skill set up, they just took it to the next level with massive hay bale landings and the such.

No man, I know this video clip is wicked old so I say, "Mike Wilson eat your heart out" because these guys where doing them years before Mike Wilson and they probobly didn't learn them on water ramps.

^ haha, exactly. i loved that shit. I bet onle like 10 % of the people on this site even skied when that was the hottness.

i forgot about the double misty!! sooo Sick. They definitly weren't stylish..but soooo hard and so progressive. Everyone freaks when they see mike wilsons crazy flip, but these dudes were trying stuff like that when people still argued whether jonny mosely was better then jf cusson.

You say that as if Mike Wilson didn't know they had been thrown before, it's not as if he's ever claimed that he was the first to do them. Its like saying "eat your heart out" to someone throwing a mute 3 just cos Mosely did back in the day.

And also like someone said above they practiced by throwing them into hay bales, basically an agricultural water ramp
