Mike vick just arived at the court house

Look, people are doing worse things. Our president lied and sent us into a war where hundreds and hundreds of american lives are being lost.

I love my dog, but pit bulls and mastiffs are kinda bred to fight. I'm totally against it, but its not so shocking, 100 years ago and thats all those dogs were trained for.

Putting down a dog because it is suffering from an ailment is a little different from body slamming a dog on the ground repeatedly because it lost a fight. Oh and 24, wow, that gives you all the rights in the world to speak of the generations of man that has came and gone. I imagine the only reason Vick or his employees killed these dogs is because they had been in a fight and got massively injured and it was making the dogs suffer badly. Same thing is done with all animals basically. Cowboys back in the day had to kill their horses all the time if they got badly injured. Gunshot to the head. People still do that actually. The Dogs were Vicks property and im sure he gave them a great home, it is also up to him if he thinks a dog needs to be put down and if he wants to take care of it himself, than that is fine by me. This is america, land of the FREE
 
My major in College was Anthropology and I got my degree last spring. I studied and continue to study the origins of man up to the present. It helps explain to me whats really happening in the world with our complicated race. I understand that a humans life is not that long.

Allow me to dissect your post.

The dogs Vick killed may have been injured greatly, but this was caused by the dog fights that were setup thru Vick and his buddies.

The dogs were not executed in a humane manner. They were tortured. Electrocuted slowly and painfully until dead. Repeatadly thrown to the ground until deceased. Repeatedly dunked within a swimming pool at intervals until drowned.

There is a clear record of what was done, and Vick's buddies are even ratting him out now to save their own skin. It is quite obvious that Vick did not care for the animals, and CLEARLY did not give them a great home, as you said he did.

Yes, this is America, land of the free, but you should also know that "the only place to find freedom is in the dictionary, under "F"" (Matt Good)

There are laws that govern the treatment of all animals, domesticated and non-domesticated that prohibits inhumane treatment, and Vick violated that law and treated the dogs quite brutally.

Next time before you move your fingers to comment on a subject, do some reading on it so you don't come off so ignorant.

But it's mike Vick. The majority of the nation hates him, and he has already been suspended for the full season, and he hasn't even been convicted of a crime yet.

Nowhere in that did it say anything about the kennels where he kept the dogs being in dangerous/unhealthy conditions. Because if it was, the media would have latched onto that like fly on shit

Many doctors have a undergrad in Anthropology you nimwit. People dont give any credit where its due, thats all there is to it. and bahahah, skierman is minoring in political science. that is probably the most useless thing ever because nothing is concrete about politics, its not even a science, its just opinion, thats it. Anthropology is a science, whether you agree or not, its a science and that is how we look at the world.

It wasn't an actual kennel. The nickname of the dog Fighting ring was Bad Newz Kennels which was run out of Michael Vick's property in Virginia. "Bad Newz" is a hood term for Newport News, which is where Vick is from.

1. i don't know about the evidence on vick, but if he did do what they say he did, then he deserves punishment equal to the crimes and hopefully he doesn't just buy his way out of trouble.

2. not all college degrees are equal. yes some are incredibly harder and more challenging than others. but you shouldn't be bragging about yours being the hardest or that if someone is in a less challenging field then they are stupid. it pisses me of when people say what they are studying as a way to impress other people.

3. yeah dog fighting isn't as bad as countries at war or world starvation, but it is still a crime...

I suggest reading Ishmael or watching the movie Oh God. a good movie and an awesome book that make you think.

Cliff notes- Vick is considering pleading guilty to the charges against him now, and getting a year in prison. If he doesn't plead guilty they are likely going to charge him with a federal count of rackateering, which could carry a penalty of up to 20 years in prison.

Leonard Little (Rams DE) killed a PERSON drunk driving and then was arrested for drunk driving again a few years later.... He still plays in the NFL and nobody thinks twice about it.

Im not defending what Michael Vick did but he should a least be allowed to do his time and come back and play in the NFL.
