i need a shorter pair of skis for rails and such and i might have a good line on a pair of mike nicks. buuuuut, i'm about 5'10' and 165 lbs, so is 171 too short for me?

It might be considered a little short by some standards, but if you are just using it for rails and such... who gives a shit how short it is... just ski bro.

i've had mine for two years and i'm surprised they're still holding up, i'm 6ft 190lbs and never had any problems with them not being enough, but they have no stability or energy for outside the park skiing

They may seem like they have no energy to your because you're weighing them down, no offense. They were much better at carving than i thought, absolutely no chatter at high speed.
