Why the fuck does every single fucking person talk shit about mike nick and line Mike Nick is a pro skier id like to see anybody on this whole site ski like him who cares if he has fruit boot style its what he likes to do if i were him id be so sic and tired of all the cocky ass highschoolers talking smack about me hes a kick ass skier and doesnt deserve to take this shit

 
as for line they are the only company pushing the sport the way they are and they base there riding on park thats why they arent the greatest all mountain skis out there but they get the job done and continue to push the sport with every product they make so what if they are park based skis

 
I think we need more rider owned companys like line, it helps push the sport and keeps the bigger companys like salomon in check.

line's intentions are good, their product's life just sucks. You get a pair of skis and they're falling apart by the end of the season.

hahaha other skis fall apart too. everyones saying how k2's and lines fall apart...one of my friends had atomics this year, broke his. another kid i knew had salomon broke his. another kid has Rossignols went thrue 4 pairs. me and my friend that have k2's and lines have'nt broken ours at all, and we ski just as hard. and also have had only a little delamantion.

Line is the currently the only company whos putting the money from twin tip sales back into research and development for twin tips. so the more Line you buy the better and better the skis will get.

granted another companies construcion might be better now... but in a year when all of you money has gone to that company and there skis havent changed a bit you will be pissed... cause when you put money into Line then you really can see the changes. its a worthy company to get in on.

Yeah i remember when i used to skiboard and thought mike nick was the best, and he was def one of them, then he went to skiing and i thought of him as a sellout,but he was really one step ahead of me, i tried skiing again last year and relized how much better it is. So he and anyone who can huck as crazy as that are cool in my book. Just let people do what they have fun at.

 
No company is perfect and everbody is going to hear different stories about skis breaking. I broke a pair of atomics a few years back and this season my bro broke his Machetes first day out and went through two more pairs of Head mad trix. He's on his third pair b/c of that damn binding system.

K2 had problems with the original enemies and Rossi's bandit XXXs were exploding the first or second year they came out. People are biased towards certain brands because something bad happened to their skis, but that doesn't mean the company made 1000 other pairs like that. I'm sure Line will continue to back the progression of the sport and sooner or later have a really tight product that does the same.

line is the best and always will be. and yes people are biased against products, be it skis or anything else. line has good warrenty and will replace your skis most likely if they break. and the new binding that line is puting out is a direct idication of how they take the money and put it towards research. the binding is gonna help push the sport, just like line has for the past years and will in the years ahead. the new binding are safer and smarter. they think about the rider and not about the money. no binding or ski company would ever have the balls to make a binding that can be put on to tons of different skis because then they would loose money from the rider not having to buy new bindings for every pair of skis.

word. You can actaully see how their development has progressed. i had the ornage 12's last year and got new 12's this year the difference was insane. I also was able to get the new 12's because line is such a chill company and replaced my old 12's when they broke. They asked me all thhese questions about how they broke and stuff. its all about dedication and line has a hell of a lot of that.

Once a line rider,always a line rider.

 
Line's products are developing quickly, but it has nothing to do with Jay Levinthal or any of those guys, its because Line is owned by Karhu now. The reason a lot of people hate Line has nothing to do with skiboarding. It's because the guys that own the company change their views every other day. I can remember Jay Levinthal stating a couple times that skiboarding is the future, and that Skiers are gonna be looking to skiboards in the future. Now he states that Skiing is the future, and that the natural progression of skiboards was to long skis. As to Mike Nick, yes, the guy is a great rider, skiboard style or not. People don't hate him because of skiboarding, the only people that hate him like that are ignorant people just following the flow. The reason a lot of people hate him is because the guy talks a lot of shit. His Father was the one that payed for Siver Cartel to start up (and Siver doesn't have the best quality right now)

Stop the generalization by saying 'People hate Line b/c they made skiboards' That's just gay, most people that hate Line have good reasons for it. The company has made a lot of enemies with Jay and Mike Nick badmouthing other people. I know for sure that my next pair of skis isn't going to be Line. Not with all the shit I've put up with with these skis.

Jay Levinthal still owns and operates Line.

all skis and snowboards are produced in factorys that make other brands... thats how it goes.

Line is the best and improving very quickly. They're the only company that's so commited to pushing the whole new school world. Who cares what Mike Nick rides. It's all skiing. It's all good. Line is the best. enough said.

 
Yes much of the research and development is done at the factory... but the r&d that matters is done on snow by Line riders.

k guys calm down.. if one person wants to say line is sux, lets the fucker do that.. it dosent affect you unless you let it.. everyone has an opinion.. they are allowed to.. i personally this line is great.. they listed to what riders whant.. and are run by riders.. which is even better.. i have a pair of 1260's,, the orange ones.. sure, they are pretty scratched up, buyt they are still a kick ass ski.. if you take care of your skiis youll be fine.. and line has pretty much the best warenty in the buisiness..

line isnt owned by karhu.. karhu is a manufacturer.. 99% of companies use a manufacturer. Karhu also helped them with their bindings. thats all. Line is still owned and operated by J-Lev and the others.

Dirty, you are a stupid motherfucker. I don't care if you ride for wahtever, I was stating my opinion. If you don't like it, fine. But it came after 3 years of experiance with the company. I owned many pairs of Line's and all of them exploded. I had several bad experiances with Mike Nick, and I wasn't too impressed with JayLev. I also am friends with someone whos had more experiance with Line than you, Adam Newhard. Ask him about Line, and what they do. To prove that I am not totally hating Line, and that its truly an educated opinion.

Their Warrenty Dept. is great. Unfortunatly, its going to cost them in the long run. Which is sad. I wish more companies would be like this. The only other one I've come across is Dynastar. Which has a great warrenty dept.

They are sponsoring Eric Pollard. Who is perhaps one of the most influential riders ever. Also, they are sponsoring Skogen, who is another excellent rider, unfortunatly he is hurt.

Line skis are good for what they are. An all park ski. However the shape is ugly now. The original Line 12's, Skogens, and Darksides were a sick shape.

Most of the graphics were absolutely sick. I loved my orange 12's until they got destroyed. Same with the Blue skogens I had.

Line is rider owned, I've been to a couple events where JayLev was riding along with everyone else.

Line makes some damn cool clothing. I still wear all my Line T's.

Last of all, Line will eventually get better. Jay Lev just needs to get the company into better shape, and he needs, most of all, to shut his mouth on a lot of subjects.
