Mike Hornbeck in Turbo

I just watched it today and I believe that was one of the best segments in that movie. Maybe it's just me but I really like his style. He just does his tricks so smoothly. I would like to see another segment by him again cuz that one blew my mind. Anyone else agree? Disagree?
 
ya that was a way good segment his bc jumps were so dope. and i found out alot of it was in farmington canyon above my house!
 
mm i dno... i think will wes, was the most impressive thing... but hornbecks seg was amazing aswell. the whole movie was real good

Seriously? Mike Hornbeck scraps more then any other pro skier out there... kid got by all last winter spending less then 3k. Ramen is his Saturday night splurge. If he only had sponsors that stepped it up and gave him his due... this kid is REAL.
 
hornbeck is baller as fawk but i really loved the creativity of will wesson. everything about that movie except the AK (where i almost fell asleep) segment, were awsome. pretty hard to say who got who in that movie. it's outta hand.
 
why should your race or financial status have any bearing as to how you land when you ski? what if they were black kids on welfare, or indian kids who work full time and go to college? who they are shouldn't make a difference in relation to how they ski.
 
First time I met Hornbeck he was eating handfuls of deli meat out of Clarke's fridge and sleeping on top of piles of gear in a mini-van at various places around summit county. He scrapes by with the best of em for sure.
 
if you stomp the fuck out of what you do like hornbeck does then you deserve to afterbang everything you do. and saying that whole rich white kids thing is just dumb as fuck just because one has or doesnt have money doesn't mean they cant have fun you dickbag.
 
exactly, i know sponsors spend most of their money on big name pros or whatever, but nothing gets me more stoked on skiing than watching a hornbeck/wallisch etc. seggy. Sponsors need to realize how hard these dudes throw down, and pick their game up
 
hornbeck is one of the realest, sickest dudes i've ever met. and he is by no means rich.

You have noooo right to call hornbeck a "rich white kid".. You have no idea what his background is, and you sure as fuck don't know or have the right to say that's his rich or not. I've spent alot of time with hornbeck and have seen him miss out on meals while shooting handrails or on days coming out of the mountains filming/hiking all day cause he doesn't have the money to eat. He's got that style cause thats the way he skis and has been doing this "afterbang" since you've owned a pair of twin tips... just because kids can land a trick with style and actually ride away from it doesn't mean their trying to be "rich white kids acting like their the shit", its called skiing and its fun to do hoodrat stuff with your friends
 
Even do I think that whole rideaway thing gets out ofm proportion, I'll have to say hornbeck seggy in turbo proved how good of a rider he is.

wether you like afterbang and rideaways or not, you should look over it and see how crazy some of the stuff he does is.

nahhh. wesson has dope urban skills but there wasn't a single shot of him on snow. super impressive though, never seen half that shit before.
