Mike gravel for president

i wouldn't say he's kicking ass in the debates...

quoting him here haha: "it should be made a felony to even be in Iraq"

personally i love his style. no sweet talk. no pussyfootin around. he attacks the issues and he doesnt try to make it look pretty. i think its about time we had a real leader in charge. seriously if this guy makes it to the white house he could end up doing a lot of good for this country.

He's a fucking nutbar. Which I guess makes him the perfect candidate for NS's support?

Winner!

I don't see him being any sort of world politician, his style is way too... eccentric? He is not anyone i would want to see discussing anything of importance to the world or the country. He's good for laughs now, he was just on the Colbert Report, you can watch it over at comedycentral.com. There he seemed way out of his element and was extremely awkward. A dude who can't understand Colbert's sarcasm shouldn't be the leader, and his recurring mention of the "colbert bump" started to sound like someone who is really prying for votes...

At the debate he provided some comedic relief, saying how the other candidates frighten him, trashing the senate, but little else.

colberts sarcasm is good for a laugh but it is also frustrating to his guests when theyre trying to make a point. i would like to see him on the daily show instead. i really dont think his style is the important thing. his stance on the issues is why i like him. im just worried that people will discredit him for his unpolished and unapologetic speeches.

well, there's something to be said about being able to say clearly what it is he wants to say, instead of spilling some mantra or catchphrase to prove his point. Colbert gave him an opportunity to respond as he would to a die hard conservative, and he was simply dumbfounded and barely speaking english in his response.
