Straight up he is a legend who has now proven he still a part of the game. he help get skiing to the sportit is today, then had that rediculous natural hit line in Happy Dayz(if you haven't seen it go look). Guy rips it in the BC in MSP movies and now wins the back nine, still going strong. He also seems to not be a cocky bastard, rather he still seems to love the sport and give back to it

In summary here is to Mike Douglas, a true living legend in the ski world
 
yeha i've met hima couple of times, we were actually sessioning a rail and then he cae along to do a photo shoot on it...so i guess we kinda sessioned it with him because we tlkaed and exchanged ideas ....what have you. he's prety down.
 
he is the godfather of skiing, and can still get it done at his age... glad to see it, he's a true icon in our sport.
 
Its funny how he sounds so dumb on TV commentating the X-Games and you would think he is a gaper, but he still kills it just as hard as anyone else
 
not to mention he grew up skiing mt. washington.....word em up, shout out to island locals. Hes also the epitamy of making a lifelong career out of skiing, congrats!
 
Well said dude, i met him in Portillo last summer and he was such a cool guy, not cocky or stuck up one bit, why would he be?

too bad this is not true. and i have many people that can verify this. just ask schmies about this, he can verify this fact and prove to you all that i am not talking out of my ass.
 
Mike D is sick. Pretty much invented freestyle, and is still ripping it as good as the young guys. Still super smooth. Props to Mike.
 
I'd say more Danny Way of skiing, Moseley is Hawk, but without sleeves.

That one misty flip he does in Degenerates still gets me hot.
 
Mike D is the man, he invented the misty flip, the d-spin, the japan air, soo much shit hes like almost 40 and he still kills it harder than most of the best up and comers,he gets soojewed of by Salomon its redick and hes the nicest man alive he dont have any hate foranyone

But Mike D is fucking awesome. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet in the industry, and much shorter than I expected (but that seems to be said for most pros). If you haven't yet, read the Dave's interview with him in CREAM. It was posted in his blog back in the fall and I believe it is available at www.writeyourownway.com
 
word.. i remember a freeze magazine cover that said M.D. in big letters and it said "the M stands for Mike and the D stands for D-spin." and thats how i remember who invented it since then.
