Mike Clark STOMPS kangaroo 9....!!!!!

Last week up at hood clark went up with a couple filmers and photographers to windells for a private sunset shoot for an article about him in freeskier. He ended up stomping 3 diffent kangaroo variations! To 5 like jon, to 7, and to 9!! I just saw the shots on the bacons camera, sooo rediculous! Watch out Tom Wallisch!!!

thats funny by the way that you would make a ns name just to post about it cuz you were so stoked the other day Annal, you definitely want clarke

i dont see how you can have 300+ posts on this site yet havent seen c vans footage from keystone of it

he kangaroo 5 ed and 7ened?

isn't hat just called a flat 5 and 7? i never see ehy jon just didn't call the "kangeroo flip" a flat 9.

kangaroo is a double flatspin with a 180, making it a 9. each flip is a 360 degree rotation - 360 + 360 = 720, 720 + 180 = 900

kangaroo 5 and 7 is imposible because that would just be a flat five and a flat seven and/or a double flatspin.

i think you meant he did a kangaroo flip then he did a kangaroo flip with an extra 180 and then one with an extra 360. in that case i am incredibly impressed.

Watch Jon do his original flip. To me, the best way to describe it is a lincoln-90-lincoln-90. That in essence is a Kangaroo flip. People like to call it a Kang 540 with all the variations appearing now because its essentially like a flatspin 5 with an extra inversion, making it a Kang 5. A Kang seven would really just be a lincoln-180-lincoln-180, and a Kang 9 would look pretty nutz.

but dont you count the rotations you do when you flip as well like a lincoln is a 360 on a different axis so a a double lincoln would be a 720 on that axis and if he spins a 540 while flipping thats a 1260

The strange thing about skiing is that we do that with rodeo's and misties and flatspins, but for some reason it breaks down with underflips and lincolns. Since a normal Kang flip could be considered a double flatspin 9, I'd have to agree with you just for easy clarification. Double flips are throwing some wrenches into the trick name gears...

Meh, I don't care about any of this, I don't even watch ski movies anymore. Maybe I should just stop skiing and start a shitty punk band

there is some name droppin going on...

This is why I wish that skiing had more signature tricks like the kangaroo flip. People get caught up in the details...I'd love to see a kang 12...it would be the most hucked thing possible, i'm sure it was very disgusting looking. Rodeo 5 is still my favorite trick...none of this...rodeo 14 crap.
