I'm 5'11 to nearly a 6. I'm really interested in next years Mik D's. But is 176 to short for me? It would be my park skis since I already got MSP's for everything.
I can't ski anything shorter than a 180 and i am 5'11" 175. I feel akward and out of control at the speeds you reach landing tricks, does this bother anyone else?
i'm 6'2'' 180 and have ridden the miks all over the country, from park to corn snow they work great. normally i would never ride any ski under 180, but the combination of sidecut, dimensions, and flex make it work.
idk ive heard good things about the edges....but for the length for me at least itll depend on if u mount true center or not casue they will feel a lot shorter if u go true center
yeah man, those should be fine, im like 5 10 or so maybe 5 9 but i weigh 165 and i skiied on 174 scratch fs' and ripped a foot of pow some days. youll be fine.
holly fuck some of u kids are light...i am like 6'-6'1 and am about 172lbs...i am gaining more weight every week to becasue i play soccer and rugby so i am gaining alot of muscle mass....but still....eat a burrito or something
but yeah, i'm looking at getting a 175-178 ski next year for a jib ski.. and i'm 5'10, 140lbs. i've got a 182 right now, and it's not what i'd consider ideal for butters/jibbing
The length discrepencies are due to different tips. Some tips are more upturned and therefore make the overall ski shorter. The skis are the same length, but the tips make them look different.
Sorry for bringing this back but as I said I'm 6 feet 70 kg, and I sold my MSP's so I can afford the Miks, and it looks like it's gonna be one heck of a snowrich season.
And I'm worried that they wont work well in the BC since I'm gonna centermount them.
So should I cancel the order and look for wider skis or will they be fine?
If anyone has them and skis the in pow, could you gimme sum info?
It's a park ski. If you take them through powder center mounted you'll have to be putting all your weight on your tails the whole time. It'll work but obviously won't be as fun as riding a true powder ski.
