So me and some buddies are pre-gamming in our college dorm room. The pre-game turned into getting really really fucked up. We had a handel of run and one of vodka, so we were feeling good. All of a sudden 2 RA's knock at our door, so the shit is the fridge and they come in and look around. It turns out we left lemons on the counter so they start asking shit, and I'm the only one who talks and I guess it goes well. THey then say, can we check your fridge. I and everyone else is like "no" so they ask why and I make up some bullshit story about it not being out room and I dunno what is in there. I figured I was in the clear. The next morning I got back to the kids room and I open up the fridge for a gatorade, and the liquor wasn't there anymore. I asked him and he didnt take it. Can RA's come back into a room and take shit from our fridge if they have suspicions of us drinking? I personally thought they don't have the right to do that. Hopefully it was a friend of ours who took it and didn't tell us, if not.... we're fucked

ya man if they say anything to you, you can simply say...that evidence has to be dis-regarded becasue it was obtained by ivasion of privacy which is illegal

i'd go and punch the RA out if he stole your liquor, theres many things you can do, but stealing liquor is going too far.

man dont worry about it theres nothing they can do without your consent. if they took it which i doubt they did they infringed on your legal rights to privacy...sucks you lost some bottles but there's no way your in trouble

if your not supposed to have any, allways ALWAYS put liquor in old sprite bottles. it has saved my ass noumerous times: school trips, god camps you name it. another good one is disinfecting liquid bottles, but those you have to clean really well if you want your liquor to taste remotely pleasant.

Not the old shitty white plastic ones. Those are porous, and never get clean...... I mixed tang in there once, it never came out.

Now, the new clear lexan ones are 110% pimp. They don't hold anything, water will totally clear them out, and they're bombproof. I've dropped one 5 stories, and it got a scratch.

i was an RA for a year....technically residents dont even have to let you into their room if they dont want to. if the RA took booze from your fridge then they violated your rights and stole from you.

 
ya...I'm a SRA (sr. advisor) this year and we can't take anything from anyone's room. Basically it is your residence, so they have to ask to come into your room/common area...however, if they feel there is illegal stuff going on, or someone is in trouble they can enter (and they can let police in), or if they think you are fuckin' with the smoke detectors they can come in (should be with another staff member). I'd say something to whoever is in charge, but if you are underage it might just get you in more shit. Realistically, you probably aren't going to get kicked out of rez for drinking...but be smart about it...keep it in a coloured mug and don't be an ass.

It depends where you go. At a private university, they can do whatever the hell they want.

i went to a private university....and no they cant do whatever they want. the only thing they can do is call the police and then the police can go in if they have reasonable doubt that your going to hurt yourself or someone else.
