yo guys, i think we should get a group of us that are riding to US Open to compete film or do whatever. and we should all rent a pretty rad place. If we get our shit together we could probably carpool out there. I think we'd need about 10 people. Any of you that aren't sure that you can do the Live Registration i can pre register you saying that you ride for Deject Clothing. But what would be rad if we come out as. either D-Crew or Deject Midewst Militia err anamed later. I can make some dope gear to represent.

i think this would be great exposure for Midwestern Freeskiers so we arent just seen as crazy farm kids.

and yo does anyone have like a van. if we car pool i can fit 3 in the back of my jetta. but like ya.

oh owrd i just bought a DVC-30 i could defiently use someone to backup film. but if you break my camera you die. (feel no threat)

we are looking at 650.00 a night for up to 9 of us.

it includes free aiport shuttle to DEN though. so thats kewl

hats are only 7.50

ok, i stopped reading after the special olympics stuff....BUT

if you want some MI kids to come with, my parents OWN a condo in Keystone... pretty cheap housing, just pay for clean up and junk. The most it can hold is about 7 though. Ty stayed there over our last spring break with us, its real nice. And Im Definatley interesed in this if it isnt a TOTAL waste of time and money (Ive heard the US open was...)

So even if you MN boys cant all stay at my place(if we go) a few def can. Just throwing that out there, Id prolly only really be interested if I can pre-register, halloer back!

i usually get tickets on Midwest for super low cash.

plus i dont know where i'd meet up with you guys for the drive, the closest i come to MN is madison

i went to USO to film last year.

i must say it was one of the highlights of my skiing career, it totally turns the ski towns in CO, eating dinner 4 feet away from the Volkl team, sitting in a bar with Tanner and C Crew, its super chill to check out the Big Air, and the best part is your standing with everyone no security all super chill,

i've heard from eveyone that riding the course was a great oppurtuiity and you never know how well your gonna do in quals. But, there our scouts everywear and if you ride sick it's right at the time 07-08 teams will be formed.

i think its looking like the setup is going to be better this year because they have a different guy designing the course i think...i have to re-read a thread in the ski gabber but i think thats whats up

oh yeah and my uncle also owns a condo at keystone, i could call him now and see if he could hook us up for that weekend but i would have to do it soon to make sure we can get it

I have been to the US Open twice 04 & 05. It is Definatley an amazing time. It would also be sweet to see more kids from the midwest out there for it. I belive the only guys from the midwest the two years i was out there where Scott Kovtun, Jon Cyrlik. Know there maybe have been more but those are the only two i can think of.

So if you can go i would go if i was you.

i think at this point i am down for going. i dont have school all of Jan so i want to travel and ski and film as much as possible.

Id love to do this comp, the biggest things holding me back are:

1 - Money

2 - No time to practice

The no practice time is what makes me not want to go the most. Theres only a handful of resorts in the midwest with decent sized jumps that early in the season to practice on. Marquette takes forever because we only have like 20 snowguns. Mount Ripley in houghton, Ski Brule (If Stu Epps builds their park again), and maybe Spirit (no idea when their park usually goes up, but they have decent size jumps) are the only places I can think of I would be able to practice before this event...

So I dunno, the VT Open seems a lot more worth my time and money as of right now... but convince me otherwise
