Hey I'm a midwest skier, i live near chicago. I go to the places in Wisconsin like Tyrol, Alpine and some others. I wanna know how i can do shit here, like building jumps and shit, there aren't many hills around here, the only one i know of is one that used to be a landfill. What should i do when the snow comes when i can't go to Wisconsin or West to ski? And how would i go about building a jump?

 
All you need is a hill for an inrun and a nice place to land, there isnt much at all around chicago or the burbs tho, try a hilly golf course maybe. Theres also a place in the burbs that is just for park riding, called raging buffalo, but skiers cant use poles so its kinda gay. You can also just do what I did and go to school out West, the MW isnt that bad if its only temporary.

I thought Raging Buffalo was only for boarders, not skiers? Did they change the rule? And I'm gonna go out west for sure i think for school. Thanks! Peace

 
ever heard of the shrab brothers man. make your self a fifty foot tall tower with wood comin down for a in run. make a jump and landin out of hay bales. and when it snows you got your self a kick ass jump.

 
Raging buffalo allows skiers...but they dont allow you to use poles.

I don't like the midwest very much for skiing wise, especially where i live, i got no hills.

yea WI sucks for skiing other stuff it isnt really that bad as just like a place to live i guess. there is some cool stuff.

there is plenty of shit im WI, spirit mtn for instance. and Marquette isnt too far north.

spirit mtn is in mn dude, but its good. Giants ridge is where its at, like the table over the school bus and craploads of rails. Prins, why do you suggest going to midwestskier.com? Are you a member of it or something? Hehe

Wasn't one of them in the X Games Big Air or something and do a Double Frontflip Cross? I remember seeing a guy with a brother and then showing that same jump, they lived in Saskatchewan or something.

Make the trek over to Michigan...lots of good riders here. I am going to school in Kalamazoo...wouldnt mind meeting up with a fellow midwestener and skiing.
