Midwest Ski Film Festival 2010!

guess you'll have to buy another one...
jokes. I think there is going to be a will call there so you can pick up your ticket.

it was so dope. everyone needs to see Like A Lion... ridiculously good. Same with every other movie. The after party was bumpin. Overall, another great year of MWSFF! if you didn't go, i'm not going to lie, you missed out. see you there next year!

basically to repeat like a lion was the best movie ive seen in a long time. seriously inspiring all the other movies were also ridiculous. i think everyone there had a good time, i know everyone i know including me did, and now it just needs to snow

it was an awesome time!! Like A Lion was really good and is something every skier needs to see...eye trip and network were sick too, i think i'm going to order them right now
YAY!!

Such a great event! All the movies were very well made and enjoyable. Stept and Level 1 were super banger and I'm planning on buying both of them. Like a lion was so moving and great to see what Tanner has been through. It was nice to see a documentary to break up all the ski porn all of us were watching.

Some disappointments:

1.)I didn't see many other people very stoked on anything... It seemed like it was just our group that was cheering and everyone else was "too cool" to be stoked on any of the tricks... Iwas so excited to see some of the new tricks being thrown! I was just kind of disappointed in the vibe of everyone.

2.) I was very surprised on people making fun of Glen Plake... the dude is a legend and yes he's a goofy dude but I was just surprised people were making fun of him...

Everything else was super banger and I had a great time! Can't wait for next year! (hopefully the raffle won't be rigged next time in favor of the 700's... haha)

Hope everyone else enjoyed it as well!

I had a super good time. The music at the after party was wayyyy sick... good work Walker and Hathaway. Brian you killed it this year... the venue was so much better than last year, no sketchy projectors haha. This got me super stoked for winter.

Event was awesome!! Eye Trip and Like a Lion were amazing, along with the Stept movie. Despite a veRy fun night, I thought that the event itself failed to match last year's; no Hathbanger this year at the venue, which I thought would've brought the stoke factor wayy up, followed by a disappointing raffle compared to last year's. Event was still BANGIN though!

Great times, real glad I could make it this weekend! Good thing to be a part of- the Midwest scene kills and it's only getting bigger...

MWSFF was so dope this year it got me so stoked for the season! Every movie had so many bangers in it! Wasn't to stoked on how we were the only group screaming at sick tricks and the raffle wasn't as sick as last years but whatever. Such a sick way to open the season though!

I just want to thank Brian and Andy(it is Andy isn't it?) for the awesome premiere. I had the best time ever, and already I can't wait until next year!!

It was super dope and way worth driving 6 hours for. The only thing was that I was hoping top hear some hathbanger at the venue but it was about the skiing, not the music! All was good!

it was sick, but the vibe wasnt as good as last year. we need a dj going all out during the breaks between movies, and more time inbetween them too. I felt like I couldnt leave my seat or I would miss something. That raffle was kinda bunk.....but i won binders so big ups to me i guess. and the MC was pretty wack, he was the least interesting person i have ever had to listen to...

We ran a new format this year to try to focus more on movies, I will admit we screwed up not getting there in time to setup Hath to play before the show. But this is still a learning process for all of us, and I think with the experience we have gained over the past two years we will be able to dial in something for next year. This year I do think we were able to Dial in the Emcee though. I think Pat absolutely crushed it this year (granted he didnt decide to give away his entire sample set of Bern Helmets) with contests, interviews before movies. Next year I will look for a venue not run by very religious people! They were not stoked we were running late which is why movies ran back to back to back. Thanks for coming out and supporting again Midwest!

I liked the theater from last year a bit better I think. But I had a killer time, well worth the drive up there. Hopefully next year is just as epic, if not more, and maybe show a couple more Midwest-oriented films.

hey yeah BP, everything was great, i hate to be so critical of an event that was so awesome. Hopefully you take this constructivly, not negativly (sp?), cause my friends and I all had a blast at the event and afterparty. keep up the good work!

a few things I'd like to say, some of this has been said and answered, but I'd like to throw my opinion out there as well.
I felt like the movies were being rushed through. I liked how last year there was like a 15-20 minute break between each one to stretch, talk to people, chill outside, whatever. This year I walked outside and came back in not too much later and the next movies had already started playing.
It would be sweet if there was a set time the movies start. Like doors at 5, hath/walker 530, movies 630. Maybe there was somewhere that stated when the movies were going to start and I missed it.
I also wished hath and walker were playing at the theater like last year. I felt like that really raised the energy level last year and it would of been sick to have that extra boost.
Maybe another midwest movie thrown in the mix? I loved seeing this past seasons top movies, but I'd also like to see the talent and what is happening in the midwest.
I think that's about it on what I'd like to see improved for next year.
and most importantly... huge props to everyone involved with setting up and running the event. definitely the best night I've had in a long time, thanks!
