Holy Shit, midwest gets mad props, I just spent the weekend at Boyne for the spring comp.

John Serilak(spelling?), was doing huge cork 900s in the halfpipe like 10 feet out as well as switch misty 900's like a motherfucker, Pete Proos takes a beating harder than anyone but also pull out the sickest shit on rails you could imagine, Halfpipe props also go to Stephan turkula and scott kovton. Everybody gets mad props as well, just too many names to even mention. The tricks that i saw this weekend opened my eyes to the midwest again. I've been in mammoth for 3 years and the midwest definatly keeps up with progression with the rest of the country. if not ahead. peace, matt

Oh man thats what I was afraid of. I knew it...I missed another awesome midwest comp. I wanted to go but couldn't find a ride. How was it? You got any results or footage?

We have nothing else to do ibut/i park ski, and we have a lot of heart, so yeah a lot of midwesterners rip, even with shitty ass jumps and concrete landings. Thanks for the props tho.

dude, i'm from Tyrol Basin of course i'd prop the midwest, it always deserves more than it gets, when i come back here it rejuvinates my stoke in skiing and helps me realize why i started in the first place..

yeah, i wish there had been more than 1 rail there. and jon cyrulik is fucking sweet, alreday has flow from Spyder and Volkl

That was a crazy weekend. Every single person there was going off. I will put some pics up later this week i think. I would put video but my computer is being gay.

we dont have the best jumps and my local park didn't even have a rail. But we do what we can. We go out, film, push ourselves and have fun, just like anywhere else in the US

 
The Midwest is where its at man. We don't have big mountains so we ski the park and street, and we have balls and can take a beating better than anyone. The midwest kicks ass!

word dirty, the event was sick. I wasn't all about the way big air was judged (wes should have won I thought) but not going to bitch about that any more. Sick weekend, thanks for everyone coming out for it. Next year will go off, the footage from the weekend is super epic for sure. Later all (look for jon cyrulik, proos, stefan, and scott in espionage).
