Midwest powder is ice with 1 to 2 inches of snowmaker snow on top.

Its the best we got and its always in patches.

 
yes i ski WI. another type of pow we get is when they are blowing mad snow(cause we dont get much natura) and you get to ski by the guns!!
 
yeah, gotta love that soft fluff blasting out of the snow guns. makes for an ill ice sliding session.
 
i don't know what your talking about, i ski pow all the time here, just not waist deep like out west.
 
i skied enough snow to cover my tips today on the side of runs but its about 6 inches wide and like 4 inches deep
 
wtf ever! i have found knee deep turns at cascade (Wisconsin) this season, multiple times. you guys must not know where to look, and i am not gonna tell ya because all my snow would be tracked out then.
 
we've had constant snow since i got home from school on thursday- at least a foot of fresh every day for the past five days.
 
maybe its just me but it seems the areas by the great lakes get plenty of natural snow, atleast it always looks that way on the weather channel
