Midwest Opening Before Everyone Else

Settle down buddy. It'll be freezing rain before you know it.

But yes I am stoked to see michigan get hammered with snow.

April was an unreal cycle. I’ll remember this post when I ski the next cycle

March into April/Early May in Utah was all-time last year so yeah.

All I can say for the east is you guys open up first and you're the first to close.

I love being able to see my reflection in the snow.

It's a big state. Da yoop get's hammered and we don't talk about the lower peninsula or elevation

Fair unless there is a good lake cycle in April/may. I was doing my climbing certs in may a couple years back and we got many inches in the last week of may which made it...difficult.

east coast doesnt open up earlier, we also close later

It sure is a good feeling to go skiing, get home and know youre going skiing again tomorrow. In October no less. Hoping that Bohemia and the UP as a whole get absolutely dumped on this season.

Well it is much easier to get man-made snow coverage on a 300ft hill with 12 runs… still pumped for them be open but let’s be real here.

I am in fact coping and seething, but mostly because of how inconsistent early seasons (and winters in general) are getting thanks to climate change. Feels like now you either get hit with that freak couple feet storm that opens everything in October, or you cry staring at a grass slope well into November or even later.

Also Colorado should have lifts spinning quite soon here:

Edit: my photo isn't uploading but Wolf Creek is projected to get ~23 in on Sunday night/ Monday and a little snow every day after that

Looks like we’re getting one more day at Wild for some 70 degree riding. Pop out and holler at ya boy in the edgeless bdogs

It's snowing in the PNW atm. I want to make some turns but my leg is still fucked. Jealous of everyone getting after it.

Seeing some midwest clips on the gram. People already firing. Git it!!
