Midwest Open 2010

wooooooo!!!! heading up to Cascade right now. green hoodie + blue pants + white helmet. come talk to me because i'm a friendly, down to earth male 20 years young, and i like long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners.

mot fun ive had in a lonnng time. everyone was really tight met alot of nsers and the level of competition was nuts. especially in the rail jam. (630's out of down rails, 4 ons to 180 switchups on a skinny down box, 2 pretzel 2's on a dfd rail.) just crazy.

Wow BIG thanks to everyone who came out today. The skiers really put on a hell of a show. I had an absolute blast watching everyone. I think the vibe was amazing and the stoke seemed to spread like wildfire. Everything seemed to go well today minus the lack of speed for the big jump. It is really too bad because I think that was a pretty decent jump. Rail jam was so sick though, everyone killed it especially skier_steve! Wayyyyy stoked on the turnout we had today. The weather was beautiful, the vibes were flowin', and kids were killin' it. I hope everyone enjoyed their day today and I hope I was able to bring all of the changes and improvements you guys requested. So thanks again to everyone... my day was great, I hope yours was too and please please give me feedback... positive and negative (setup, judging, format, etc.)

Sidenote: If you know anything about the whereabouts of my iPod I would be soooooooo thankful to hear from you. It disappeared sometime between the big air comp and the rail jam. It's a 16 GB iPod Touch with a black/clear case on it. My hard drive on my laptop just crashed last week so I have absolutely zero music anymore, so I would be beyond stoked to get it back. I know that nobody intentionally stole it, so I would give a definitely hook you up real fat if you knew where I could find it. THANKS so much!

It was awesome, thanks future and everyone. I got a gopro vid from the train that was pretty epic. It didnt turn out as awesome as it was when we were doing it but ill edit it a little and post it up here on NS

mad props to everyone throwin down in the big air comp. I had a blast!!

Did anyone get any good footy from practice/the comp?

To address a couple questions:

The results for anything under 3rd probably will not be posted anywhere. We really only looked at the top scores and made any decisions between like 3rd, 4th, 5th and then called it good. But I don't know what happened with those scores for 4th and 5th. There was defintely some close calls in the skier divisions though... everyone killed it.

Nordica really hooked it up for the prizes for skiers. The main prizes for each of the 2 divisions iin the 2 events included:

1st- Next years Park ski, length of your choice i believe.

2nd- next years boot, size of your choice

3rd- luggage set... some nice fatty duffel bags and ski bags i think.

And they all got some other stuff like goggles and such i believe... not really sure what exactly though.

Well, I sessioned the bigger hit for about an hour today. Salted it, raked it, waxed my skis and it was game on... snow was a little bit faster too. It was a super fun and nice jump and i definitely wish conditions would have been better so you guys could have all hit it. I am definitely going to push for a better location for big air next year... so we'll see. I heard there were a few people who disagreed with the judging... all i'm going to say is that I feel pretty confident witht the choices we made and it was definitely a super hard thing to judge. Hardest comp I have ever judged for sure. So I hope no one was too upset, everyone absolutely destroyed everything... STOKED!

for my first year i had an AWESOME time despite being EXTREMELY tired from lack of sleep the night before...i was like dead all day.
congrats to everyone who placed! sum sik trix wurr throughn!!1!
