Midwest Massacre 5: Urban Evolution

well if anyone is ready for some next level @$%#, then come out to take part in this years Midwest Massacre.

We have been busting our a$$e$ trying to give the haters something to talk about, so The first Flat Land Massacre is born.

First off it wouldn't be a flat land Massacre if our local hills would not be so afraid of change. If we had the support of a local hill things would still be at the hills, however, our local establishments are set in their old views and ways of business that does not allow the envolope to be pushed. Every one seems to be ok with average, and i am not about to be throwing Midwest Massacre in an average manor. So My options are give up and not throw Midwest Massacre, or to build a hill myself and throw it my own way. I have invested to much time, sweat, blood, money, friends, dreams, and sleep to quit now.

This rollercoaster has just begun. Midwest Massacre is thrown for you, the riders. Many people spend their free time building a place for you to have fun on. It is not for corperate america to twist and spin till it has no flavor. It is designed for you to have a place to showcase what can be, when parks and comps are designed to bring the best out of the rider.

Our winch pulls up to 40mph, I can built a jump with a front end loader just as good as any hill can with their groomer.

Our rail jam that no one ever gets to ride on, is now open, and 20' wider. There are three rails to choose from

There is no lift ticket fee, so the cost of massacre is cut in half for the riders. $25 entry

This will also be considered an open tryout to be a freshtip design rider. A few select riders will be choosen to be paid to ride in upcoming photo shoots and competitions.

There are two sundays this year to come and free ride. No rules just have your fun.

I am not seeing to many down sides here guys.

FreshTip Design is about to make another stand and fight for the future of what skiing can be in the midwest. Our region is being held back because we are not being givin the opportunity to progress. I am sick of standing around and bitching about. If anybody wants to stad up for their future and have a genuine good time skiing, join me march 3rd, 7th,8th, and 9th.

"people hate what they don't understand, fear what they can't conquer, I guess its just the theory of man"
Think about it

dude this actually sounds pretty sick, who has ever heard of a big air in a city enviorment, other than icer air, i really wish i could go do it but alas im gonna be in steamboat for JO's, so that prbly means that everyone that does ussa cant go.

the myspace page links to some gay porn shit, lets just say that was really dissappointing!! sometimes you just need to take matters into your own hands. good luck i will see ya there. most faclities are relucant to change because of past experiences, and of course fear of the unknown.

this will definetly different, but now sounds super fun. freshtip rocks for thinking of this and actually doin it when no one else is, all should show.

Two qualifiers. You only need to qualify in one session, but this way if you can make it friday night you dont have to wake up early friday. Or if you cant come till saturday then you can still qualify. And if you dont make it friday you can still try again saturday( must pay another entry)

The format is the gooderest one that I have been around. We got some tricks up our sleeves so stay tuned. More details to come.

ok so is there any possibility there will be age groups? or not cause it would be sweet it there was like 15 and under and 15 and older it would give a chance to the youngins

This sounds like it's gonna be sick! I can't go saturday because I have to work, but I'm going to try to make it sunday.

if you pay the 25 to enter on friday or saturday, can you still ride it on sunday when its open to the public without paying again?

Pictures are up on www.myspace.com/midwest_massacre

The history of the Midwest Massacre is a tale of

over coming the odds and believing in your dreams. Every year there has

been a new set of rules to constrain our visions, and road blocks put

in front to try to slow us down. Year after year we have fought to

build our dream parks, create our own competition, and attract riders

that share our vision. Many have supported this good fight, and the

impact of their determination has been felt. I would like to thank the

riders that have participated, reps and companies that have backed our

efforts, professional riders that have cleared their schedules to ride

with our competitors and help judge, and the countless hours and

sacrifices that everyone involved have put forth. These actions have

made our dream a reality and made it possible for our new dream.

Midwest Massacre will be held on flat ground for the first time. Riders

will choose from; a winch pull into on of two jump options and a wall

ride at the end, or the biggest Urban Rail Jam that FreshTip Design has

built to date. The Rail jam will be 50' wide and hold three rails to

choose from. Check the pictures to get the details.

Fresh

just got a voicemail from freshtip about this, looks real sick from their myspace. Wish i could make it guys, but living in Colo and knee rehab is saying otherwuise. Always a real sick event to go to. Good luck, hopefully drew loses.

get a cast you pansy, not like you use poles anyway...

When you coming out again, i can do stuff now besides drink.

I "As far as the set up goes, awesome looking jump and cool wallride,

props to freshtip for putting in the hundreds of hours it must have

taken to create this, but it seems like an awful lot of work to build a

rail set up that still has a flat landing."

Thanks for the props but if your in the cities, massacre is where you should be.

Also the flat landing is intended. Last time I checked most hand rails have flat landings. Perfect practice, plus the cops dont kick you out.

This years Massacre has taken more work, extended favors, and over all exhaustion than anything I have ever been a part of. That is a bold statement to make.

I would like to see our community show up and support this. Whether you ride or not, win or not, injured or prime, you should be there to take part in history.

Fuel TV is covering the event and the winners are in the interview. That might hype a few more kiddies, bring your friends, frenemies, and anyone else you know.

This is my last post because i got a full night of grooming this for the riders in store for me. Hope to see yall sat.

Super fun jump. Too bad not very many people came out to show their support. I had a good time and would like to thank everyone that helped put it on.

do you really care??, i was there early and no one even seemed to care about the fact that I was there, no hellos or whats up, lets face it I am no body, but say hi, shit!!!!!!!! I was not going to ride, but the atmoshpere was weak, sorry if you think the set up was nice, but I thought it was weak, getto steeze for the flat land but really, the jump was total ice and the ginuea pigs were having a hard time clearing the jump, props for dougie fresh and crew for the time and commitment.
