Midwest has the greatest skiing in the world

I go to school full time at Michigan State. I take a number of weekend trips through out the midwest. Whats your favorite resort within a max of say 6-7 hours driving. I typically go to Boyne, Nubs or Crystal would like to try some new ones maybe Blue Mountain, Searchmont, or maybe even somewhere in the UP? any suggestion of your favorite resorts near or in m

Seven Springs Pennsylvania would be a 6 hr drive. If you like park that’d be a destination forshure. That would be less of a drive than going to Mt Bohemia in the UP. (Which should be on your list) aswell. If you’ve never been to the UP do it it’s so dope up there

If you’re going to ski park rather than the actual hill, Mount St. Louis just north of Toronto has for sure the best terrain park in Ontario. Blue mountain is dope too and has a lot more terrain aside from there pretty good terrain park

I'm open to moving to some small random hill in the midwest or PA at some point. I wanna work at a mountain where I can see the whole damn think from the base, know all the employees, know the locals, get some discounts at the bar, and can build some dope shit in the park.

I've said it many times before, and ill say it again. Mt Bohemia. It's a long haul ( as far north as it gets in Michigan) but it's the deeepest and steepest terrain you can find anywhere in the mid-west. Plus cat skiing if you're into that.

Come up sometime and I can show you how much mtu out drinks msu

Caberfae Peaks

Damn bro good ol' Cabby huh? That's rad I used to go over there & let loose since it had a chiller atmosphere than my home hill Crystal.

If your looking to ski park, Bittersweet, in Otsego has the second best park in Michigan, next to cannonsburg so def hit them up. Mike hornbeck also skis there all the time so it’s sick

The closest skiing for park is Brighton or Cannonsburg. Cannonsburg is the cheapest ticket in Michigan and has great parks.

Good enough for Simon Dumont to come through. Possibly most proper jump line ever built in Michigan?

I would have to agree. They were the first jumps I actually saw built correctly — before then I had no clue

Crystal had a “pipe” back in the day right? Or I’m misremembering things

Fuck outta here with that tittle. Once spring/summer rolls around you will be eating those words

Meh. I skied from November 14th to May 3rd last year. Wish it was longer but I can’t complain about a 5 month season.

Unless you go pretty far up north in the UP there isn't really much. Norway, Pine, Indianhead, etc. are all kind of a joke. Bohemia is dope though. If you're in the UP maybe drive down to Granite Peak or something.

Haha yeah, it was a maintenance nightmare. Usually just turned into a chunk of barely skiable ice. Coolest thing was that it was right under the lift & a couple local legends dropped in from the lift

Hell yeah man, stoked they made that partnership. Seriously, nothing like coming home & riding, some of the best days of my season forshure. The homie Nick is holding it down as park crew manager there I would expect them to have a fun setup.

Wildcats know how to party! Huskies just drink because there are no cute girls.

Huskies can drink, had some fun on a couple winter carnival's up there in -12 degree weather.

All respect but yeah... went into one of the Husky frats and I didn't see a single woman in that entire three story house it was something

Seven Springs can be hit or miss. If there are a lot of contests/snowboard shoots the parks could go untouched for weeks. Also $90 for a 1 day pass.
