MidWest Freestyler Circuit

Alright just to get the buzz out there and get you all excited.... but know this.... NO DETAILS are final!!!!

There will be a Freestyle Circuit in the midwest this winter with 5 different stops, Snowtrails, Paoli Peaks, Mad River, Bostonmills/Brandywine, and Perfects. At each stop there will be a Skier-X, Big Air, and a Slopestyle. The big airs will be night time ones so expect super excitement there with lights dj's and all kinds of nonsense.

The events will be 5 consecutive weeks in a row each weekend at a different resort. Prizes will be given at each event and points will be earned toward the main circuit. At the end of the Circuit the points will be tallied in each event and a winner will be chosen. Typical. But my money says the prizes will be pretty spectacular... perhaps a sponsorship deal, perhaps a vehicle, no one really knows, it could just be a pair of skis, but in any case it would be really really cool to attend each event.

I am convinced with no avail that this will be the set of events of the year for any midwest contest(s). So Say bye bye to MS04 and hello to whatever we decide to call it. Just so as you are all aware this thought was spawned entirely by the members of Team FP, and is being brought to light by us and resort owners and managers... so when one of you little freaks wins a freakin' car or gets sponsered by Orage, or Spy, remember to thank us!

Keep in mind this is all just in the early stages of creation and no details are set what so ever!!! but....

Get HYped for sure

Later Fellas,

Tad

If you ever catch on fire, don't look in the mirror, cause I bet that would really throw you into a panic!

Damn you and your good skiing news in the summer. Makes me want too ski even more now. I have not heard about that yet so that will be crazy sweet.

it does leave out the northern half, but 5 different ski areas is gonna be a ton of work to begin with, much less if they were really far away, and to be fair most competitions leave us out because we are so far south, and this is the 'indiana, michigan, ohio' board which all of these events are going to be in indiana or ohio, and there isnt a 'indiana, ohio' board

Bob: i want Jon's autograph

me: i will see what i can do

Bob: u grab the swedish bastard by the ears and tell him bob dake wants his autograph and hand him my card

They didn’t leave out half of the midwest, they left it all out but southern ohio and a little of Indiana. Most of those places are closer are closer to Kentucky than Michigan let alone the rest of the Midwest. It is bad enough that the mso comps never leave and go around the Midwest, but to do that drive and then down to ohio 5 times, that gets expensive. You should probabley change the name and good luck with it, I probably won’t be able to make it.

It's not the name it just kinda describes what it is. It's a long drive for you, but everything else that happens in the 'Midwest' is a long drive for us. Besides all of your incentive to to make this long haul is in the prizes... though we aren't sure what they are yet they could be as big as a Vehicle for the overall winner. I mean we were thinking about over $1000 to win first place out just our event. So i mean really will you spend more money than $1000 for a single weekend of fun? This is just speculation we really don't have the prizes figured out at all but these are the things that have come up.

I don't know about you, Andrew, but I barely even consider places like Wisconsin and Minnesota (even Michigan) Mid-west. I think of mid-west being ohio and indiana, mainly. those other states have real mountains, and in these forums, we are talking about the places that there is no mountains. I think that is what these comps are catering to, the states and regions with no comps normally. You guys in the 'real' states have comps and shit more often then we do.

Chicago fucking sucks for skiing. My home hill is like 45 minutes away. To get anything over 200 vertical I have to go abbout 2.5 hours. If it is a circuit you could at least have one event in Wisconsin, Michigan, whatever. I would love to drive down for a weekend, but I usally don't have the money and time for driving 5-10 hours for a day or two of skiing.

well, i geuss all i can say is keep us posted on what the prizes and stuff are like. For a car, i think i would be willing to make the drive from michigan, but i don't want to waste my time and money driving way down there if it's going to be another huck fin, where there was supposedly $10,000 of product donated by salomon and i ended up with a $50 salomon helmet for winning the series. i'm sure you guys will do better than doog though. good luck with it.

he's not being a cocky bitch, he and many people have just had too many comps say that they are going to be good and have the best jumps and great prizes and they go and there is a 5ft jump and the winner get a can of redbull and it coast $50 to enter and you and it was a 4 hour drive. i dont think he was being cocky, he just doesnt want to wast the time or the money for a shit comp but i hope yours doesnt turn out like that and that its and awsome comp

sorry if i seem like a cocky bitch to you dj, that wasn't my goal. like noah said above so many competitions that seem like they are going to be awesome end up being total let downs. all i was asking for was some more details about the comp when it's a little closer and you know exactly whats happening. i really hope this comp goes as well as you hope it does, i don't doubt that you can make it happen.

wow, the two people above me, i completely apologize.

you handled that very nicely and chill, and i appreciate that. people like you are what this site needs more of.

sorry for the misunderstanding, i was just being a dick.

i see your perspective now, and again, thanks for handling it well.
