Midwest behind

I cut that rail because no one could clean it. Cullen, Shane, and Weiler were the only ones I ever saw. Plus it was a real bitch to move and sink. Have you ever been on a park crew and done a over night re-set?? I left Wild two years ago, because the park crew did not show up to work, only to ride. Not everyone but several were there just to ride for free. Shit, everyone rode at Troll after they converted the racing hill. Having a volunteer crew sucks because everyone wants to get paid, right Cullen?? Anyways the Midwest isn't progessive because of pitch and the lack of snow. You really can't sink a rail with 18 inches of snow on the bunny hill in the pre-season. And most ski areas want to get 100% open so they can charge full ticket prices. Win the lottery and buy your own mountain.

Thats the worst when an instructor brings his class down the park and they just sit on top of the jump. You think if you were an instructor you would be smarter than that! Then they get mad at you for telling them to move.

classes should def. be off limits but i have had some serious fun trashing rental skis when my noob friends come out and ride.

No disrespect Andy but Drew is exactly right. If it would've still been in one peice this year and last, Shit would have gone down. Everyone you saw at wild 2-3 years ago, was just freshy, you need to come out and watch us now, youd basically shit your pants. More and more people would've hit the thing, it was just a matter of growing balls and going for it, and that takes some amount of time, you just didnt give it enough.

I disagree it just hasnt been done yet and generally midwest park crews lack the vision to do it.

Flow is possible think about it!

Most of our hills could handle a 30 ft boot into a 50 ft boot with BIG jibs set up on both tables as options....that is flow in my eyes. Some hills could handle a triple pack easily as well.

All hills can easily have 5-6 rails in flow, with 3 lines next to each other and you could easily mix in and out of each line.

The midwest can do it, it just needs to be done.

Think about A51 (keystone) it is basically the size of a midwest hill.

When the MW gets some hill managers that realize park is the future you will see this flow.

True.

If Doug had his own park, Sht would be nuts. He knows what he is doing when it comes to Lines in a park.

Wild had a good 4 rail line, with an option on every hit this year. Steve liked it.

afton is the worst right now, the entire park crew is snowboarders and they just fuck around all day, last time i was there they were sitting on the flat box and started freakin out because some kid was complaining about the 2 foot deep bombhole off the end of it

other than that im fine with wild, hyland, welch and spirit

werd, the wall could've been so so dope instead they dont maintain it and the snowboarders rut the bejesus out of the tranny, and yeah the fdf box is about as techy as hyland gets

Thats prolly the one thing that pisses me off the most. i prolly got cut off at least 3 times a day. But if you try to wait at the top the dumbass just drop in whenever they want and you end up having to wait until you can quickly try to get in there before anyone else.

I wish spirit could do something about this.

It would be nice to heading into a jump not having to worry about some dumbass sitting on the landing.

i was only talking about the jump line, and this was during the week not on weekends.

plus i said "at least"

haha if you hold your ground you'll be the one doing the cutting off. if you have to hit a feature at the same time as someone else. they'll learn their lesson when you land on their gay ass.

Yes.

And Spirit should try to pull off the park pass, it gets way too busy with snowboarders who would be better served doing runs in the trees off the groomers.

And remember that the midwest has certain issues that the other areas dont have to deal with, ice, lack snow, warm weather, short seasons, and a lot of resort management that isnt all about the whole park thing yet. We do pretty good for what we have too.

ya but at hyland you can take the rope up and hit it again in like 5 seconds but at spirit its pretty much a waste of a run and then you gotta take the lift up and whatnot and it sucks
