let me guess- you guys saw poeple playing poker(probably Texas) on ESPN and other TV channels and now you think its cool to play poker. how old are you, 12?? seriously, do you even know any actual poker games like 357, follow the queen, baseball, acey ducey, or chicago?

if you want to get good at poker and play a real thinking and calculated version play Omaha or if your realy up for a challenge my favorite Omaha Hi-LO

no, hold 'em isn't that bad. if you play a lot, what you should do is play hold em for about a week, then not play it for a month. the same for any other type. there are enough variations of poker that you can't really get bored. its a great game.

^well put, as u have seen on tv and in life, its not like other sports where pros dominate. plenty of amatuers, and rookies do well in cards specially hold em

chicago is fun... And its not uncommon for us to play poker for 12 hours straight... thats when fools put there cars on the line and shit...

hold em is probly the hardest form of poker there is to be good at... you will get schooled if you play with anyone other then your buddies.

Oh ya and the amateurs you see on tv are virtually pro internet players as well... and most of them spend alot of time perfecting there game before they make it on tv...
