SO I just learned I'll be working in Middletown, Ohio this summer. Any NSers familiar with it at all? It is between Cincinatti and Dayton, and I'm just wondering what the fuck I'll be able to do on my days off. I would post in regionals but who reads the Ohio regionals?
 
Uhm, the people that live in ohio..? Yeah I am but I dont live that close.. I was there this weekend though.
 
Well being from around that area (Mason) I can tell you, nothing good to do in Middletown except for high school football. There might be a local gym around or something, but I dont think there are any nsers in that area with a backyard setup.
 
I dont know if you have checked the weather recently but perfects doesnt have alot of snow now haha, none the less in the summer. sooooo
 
Whoa hater. I dont know if you have checked MRMs snow cams, but perfects has 100% more snow than them! lol
 
Ok, heres the plan, we start the first midwest summer grass skiing team, then take over perfects by force, bringing our own pvc rails and jumps.
 
alright. ill look into the gym thing when i get out there, I'm hoping I can find one with a trampoline. I might not be living in Middletown now that I think of it. The company is paying for my housing and I think they're gonna put us up in dorms at a college for the summer so wherever the closest large university is is where I'll be.
 
I took a summer class in Middletown and it pretty much sucks.

There is pretty much nothing cool in Middletown except a badass skate park. And I am pretty sure there are no gymnastic places but you can always go to Hand2Hand which is about 15minutes from Middletown...check out their website at http://hand2hand.cc/

I don't skate so that won't appeal to me. this should be an interesting summer then. I will definitely check out that place looks legit and the open gym time during the summer will work perfectly
 
Yah Hand2Hand is really legit and the people there are super nice for the most part...Just have to watch out that you don't land on any kids or like yell cuss words because it is usually filled with younger kids trying to work on real gymnastics and not just corks/rodeos/mistys/etc.
 
No I have an internship at the Kohl's Distribution Center there. Pays well and there's potentially a permanent job offer at the end of it (in one of the other 9 DCs in other parts of the country) so I'm gonna go for it and see what happens.
 
Yeah I completely understand that. There's a trampoline place near my house (bouncefunplex.com) and I've almost landed on little kids multiple times doing dumb shit.
 
Ah gotcha. Kinda sucks that you are here for the summer, not only is Ohio flat as fuck and has meh skiing, then you have the fact you are in Ohio in the summer= hot, boring, nothing to do.
 
sounds thirlling. ill be working 10 hour days 4 days a week, which will give me the opportunity to drive/fly/bus home for three days to get out of there when needed. it's an opportunity so im taking it and seeing where I can get with it.
