Mics for filming

Hey I just got my cameras setup for the winter and planning to put lots of time into a street vid this year. Wondering what people do for nice audio? Wear a mic? Plug a nicer one into cam? And if anyone has good spots around slc or wants to get filmed let me know. Thanks

Shotgun mic on your camera gets the job done for the most part, a good deadcat/windscreen is a necessity IMO.

Shotgun mics are good if all you need if you just want ski noise. Definitely get a dead cat if the you’re skiing with the camera or the audio will be unusable.
