Microsoft Word

Ok my dumb HP computer just broke and I'm looking into getting a Macbook. I've used Macs in the past and I love them, but I'm in Highschool and I have to deal w. Microsoft Word a lot. I know you can buy M. Office for Mac but I was wondering if you could just torrent just the word program off of a website.

you could get a torrent, or you could get iwork, which includes pages and keynote (word and powerpoint)

pages can open microsoft word documents, convert to microsoft word documents (or pdf if you like). i used it during my senior year of high school and had no problems. that is definitely an option.

How do you convert .pages files to .doc files? Can it do that or no?
