Michigan - where to go?

Hey, any of you Midwesterners have suggestions for where I should go to ski in Michigan. I am driving through there this winter and I need some ideas. Thanks.

 
upper or lower penninsula? if you are in the lower penninsula then I heard boyne is pretty sick. but in the U.P. ummm mt. bohemia if you can drive that far and if not try like indianhead there isnt much of a jibbing scene up there though. brules park is ususaly good though

best park in the midwest will be at boyne highlands. probably best maintained pipe in all of eastern north america......and i promise that! give me holler when you come up. my addy is mdwst_freeskier@hotmail.com. we will hook up and ski.

lol...bittersweet...yeah right!!! lol...boyne is your best bet buddy, but it is almost near the Mackinac bridge, so that is really out of the way of anything...but well worth it for sure. I been hearing a lot about Mt. Bohemia now in the U.P, and i guess it is all pow and cliffs, so lots and lots of back country hits which is badass

Boyne's park is good...I ski at holly, but will be at bittersweet and timber ridge this year. I know the groomer at Holly, he makes nice stuff and maintains it well...

justin, dont EVER EVER be dissing bittersweet!!! thats where collin and greg grew up, and theress some bad asses there, bittersweet and timber ridge are getting really good, but last year id have to say timber ridge was better, ill prolly be at timber ridge more then bittersweet though cause i know more people at timber ridge, when you come up, give me a holla mreed213@cs.com, ill be riding skogens

Bohemia is like the jackson hole of the midwest

dont think of going anywhere else that place is sick..huge steeps, cliff drops, ect

 
it SOOOO far away though. We go to Western UP ski resorts (Indianhead, Big Powderhorn) and bohemia looks like it is still a couple hours past there. I dont know if i would be able to take driving past so many ski areas.

Boyne is definately the best park in the LP. If you happen to go to Crstal Mountain i am there every weekend and if by some mistake you ended up at Cannonsburg i would just turn around.

yeah thast what im thinking of doing but i have to find a week where i have a couple days off. My school is a piece of shit so presidents day weekend in feb isnt even a long weekend. on fri its a half day and that it

Thanks for all the input. We are going to do a little LP road trip - probably in December - and I don't trust my Michigan friends to give me the straight shit. I will definitely post more info when the time gets closer.

Marquette Mountain for sure is the best place in the mid-west to Jib! they have a sick park! you should for sure check it out this winter!

 
this winter, bittersweets park is like 3 times bigger, they just got a rainbow rail(15 feet long, 5 high) and an A-frame rail(the /\ kind, 8&8 feet) and a 25 foot double kink.
