anybody else see the write up on marqueete mountain in freeskiing. i saw it, read until it called skiing in michigan skiing 'on a garbage dump'. i was sort of offended by this because i enjoy skiing in michigan. just because we ski on hills, not mountains, because we dont get insane amounts of snow, except in the UP, we ski for the love of it.

yeah. sumone should post the article. i am interested in seeing it. And here in indiana we ski on Cow Pastures, not garbage dumps.

freeskiier hasn't put the article on the site yet. ill look for the mag with it and post the article. yeah, randall i agree with you that skiing at a big resort is akward because it is, but it was bullshit for them to sho skiing in michigan like that

to tell you the truth, i went to Marquette for Superpark and i loved it. i think they had a solid park. i dunno bout the rest of the ski area, but the park was up to par. i wouldn't mind takin a winter trip there if i could get sum free lodging. haha.

Yea, SOME of Michigan is ok...some decent parks/hills up north. But compared to real Mountains that's all Michigan is; garbage dumps. Go out west, you'll see...

it's still sking no matter where you are be it the midwest, out west or in the east. just be Happy that you can ski and can offord to do it since its so damn expensive..

i just stopped by borders and read the article again. i guess the first time i saw garbage dump that is frozen i put it back on the shelf. i guess it was a good article overall. they just meant it like dont judge marquette mountain by the size of it. sorry about this, my fault

what are you talking about the backcountry at bohemia isn't 'lift served?' all of the skiing there is lift served, and it's sick.

 
yeah i read that artical and i think it was bullshit on what they said about michigan skiing u dont need mountains to have the best skiing michigan has some good skiing exspecially in the UP but boyne nubs crystal and some other down state ski resorts are great too
