This guy is not human. I'm not even American and i'm giving this guy props.

He just won his 5th gold medal, broke the record for gold medals, and all of his medals are in world record time.

And i just witnessed him win 2 golds within 2 hours. Not sure if that was real time but still. Amazing.

its 7 by mark spitz but he will defenitaly do it hes an absolute monster

and im not american either and im giving him huge props
 
Did you see his interview of what he eats on a day to day basis. He consumes over 10,000 calories a day, I am pretty sure his breakfast is more than what i consume with 3 meals.
 
Perhaps because those are the common spellings and I guess the majority of us don't worship sportscenter enough to know or really care about the transposition of two letters?

Phelps is a beast.
 
I loved it when they were raving about how the french were going to kill everyone else and the US team came out and took the gold in the relay...
 
Haha yeah, the top 5 teams from the men's relay that we won broke the world record because of the new Lazer Suits.

A kid I know is sponsored and gets them for free, and he said those things are so thin that they wear out in just a few swims.
 
man im 6'2" and my arms are longer than phelps. 6'7" wingspan is nothing...imma be a dolphin when i grow up
 
just watched him break the world record in 400 m breast while breaking the gold medal record. this dude aint even funny.
 
and the 4x200 free relay the US team smashed the world record by over 4 seconds that is just obserd.
 
He is a beast. I get so pumped watching him. Like I really just wanna get back in the water and go train.

Hopefully Mike Brown can get Canada a medal...
 
MIchael phelps is terrifying, probably one of the most intense athletes out there. I've given up cheering for canada (less mike brown) and i just want him to win all 9 golds. In the relay, how far ahead he went was laughable. But i have to give some credit to brent hayden (3rd canadian). He was the world champion in i think 100m freestyle, and even though he fucked up his own event pretty hard, he put canada in second from 5th when he swam. If he'd gone last, canada might have had a medal, i think.

The USA 4x200m team beat the world record by 4 fucking seconds!!!

If he tested positive for anything its gonna be a joke
 
Haha, on the radio station I listen to this morning they were talking about how he's getting all the multi million dollar contracts now. And the guy's like "Hang on, I get here at 4:30 in the morning and work my ass off all day for nothing, this guy swans around all day and does a little bit of swimming and he's making mega bucks!"
 
i don't even like swimming but shits crazy. the guy isn't human. on one of the races his goggles got completely filled up with chlorine infested water and he just swam the whole thing blind basically and broke the record. no big deal
 
Okay I vote that everyone who is not a swimmer should just not post their opinions. Speedo, TYR, and Nike make a newer, faster suit every year. In 2000 we had Aquablades, then Fastskins, then Fastskin IIs, and now LZR. EVERYONE WEARS THEM. Even middle school kids, and anyone who is on a big enough team gets a free one. More than half the people in the races swim for Speedo, which is why all the records are in Speedo's new suits. Yet every Olympics it becomes a big controversy because that's the only time people actually watch swimming. These suits were out at World Championships too...and there were different results in a lot of races. The suit makes little difference, if any at all.
 
It depends on the race. In the 400 free relay the races are close sprints, so the fastest usually goes last. Some coaches like to get a lead first though, so if they have the team to do it they will set it up that way.
