His documentaries in the past have never been moneymaking endeavors, just commentaries on issues he feels strongly about. Look at Roger&Me. How was THAT supposed to make money? He couldn't possibly have expected it to have a large following. As for the Bush bashing... well, duh. His opinions certainly slant that way, and so, therefore, do his films. The facts are still facts, but the opinions are one-sided, unfair, and his own. He admits that much.

If Micheal Moore were solely out there to make money, he wouldn't worry so much about telling the truth and checking his facts (which he does, no matter what people tell you). He would hype things to hell, show a lot more violence, and add more scandal into his movies. Also, if you just read what the guy writes and listen to what he says, you can tell that he's out to raise awareness of problems that are going on in america. He cares about this country, and he wants it to change, and the first step to change is awareness.

Um... sorry to bruise your ego, but on average, he's right. Thanks to a sub-par education system, many (in fact, most) Americans are extremely ignorant in comparison with the global average. He doesn't hate Americans, he speaks the truth, with his usual flair for the dramatic and overblowing of things.

i think he is telling the truth its just that he doesnt prove some facts, he just dances around points in the facts but doesnt really prove them to be true, such as the bush family being 'friends' with (i think) the Saudis? something along those lines. Moore is a brilliant film maker and more power to him.

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.
 
Why not just watch everything and get all the information you can and then form your own opinions instead of taking others people opinions. Ill see what ever and then take out of it what i belive and what i dont.

 
Moore always makes fun of the american way of life. and how bad it is. well he is doing a good of living it up by eating all the food us americans can. plus if he hates it so much why doesnt he leave to the country he thinks is just right for his fucked up little mind.

that would more be a measure of intelligence and stupidity, ignorance is a completely different thing, an extremely intelligent person could be ignorant in some concerns could be ignorant, just because he is uninformed about a certain topic, so standardized tests arent a good way at all to determine ignorance, and most people on here talk about ignorance from a political standpoint, and most standardized tests have nothing to do with that type of ignorance, so saying the average american is ignorant is a pretty stupid thing to say

is good... Even If some of the stuff he is saying is somewhat decent,

there is a large enough group of people that don't learn anything unless

it's in a movie or on their favorite tv show.
 
ive watched a few for school- and while he is a blatant asshole- he does get his point across- which is usually pretty accurate
 
michale moore is a fat doucher who in my eyes is a complete imbecile and downright hypocritical. guy complains about america's over usage of various resources including food, although the dude is grossly over weight. he will always find something to complain about. HOWEVER he does raise many good points in his films in regards to the war in Iraq (I serve in the US Military) and our policies both domestic and foreign.
 
Fuck the "war time" shit. We're always in stupid conflicts all around the world in other peoples shit. The whole idea that you can't say anything bad because were in a war is just retarded. But I still don't really like him.
