i posted this a while ago, but the guy who made this video doesn't understand that the reason moore makes his movies is to raise awareness, so the country that he loves can change for the better.

Yeah my brother is a student at West Point, they get protests all the time about the students. Right after they graduate they have to serve the army for 4 years, right there are the people against the troops.

Saying there should be restrictions to the 1st amendment is a helluva lot more unamerican than criticizing the standing political power. I suggest you bone up on you American history and why exactly we declared inedpendence in the first place.

If you want to live in a right-wing totalitarian state where people don't get to criticize the government, there are plenty of countries you can move to. America is supposed to be, to use Reagans words (man, I never thought I'd do that), 'A shining city on a hill' - an example for the rest of the world to follow. The world's going to hell as it is; we don't need to help it along.

So... in times of war, the homeland automatically becomes a police state and all citizens surrender their rights to free speech? I don't think so.

First off, Bush DIDN'T get a majority vote, not even taking into account the mess in Florida. The ELECTORAL COLLEGE system is what got him elected. But, putting that aside: so the President is America personified? Back in the Clinton years, were all us Americans adulterers by definition? I don't think so. America is everybody, not just the President. And sometimes the President does things that the American public doesn't like. It's the job of the American public to tell the president how they feel, so that he (hopefully) won't do it again.

Moore is a stupid bastard who uses skewed statistics to brainwash openminded kids into believing things that aren't true. BFC really pissed me off especially when he used the number of gun deaths in each country. You can't compare straight total number of deaths from one country to the other, it is so misleading its actually funny. I don't remeber the exact numbers but after the movie me and a friend figured out the per capita of all the countries he mentioned and they were all about the same. He does this shit because they are true stats that seem relevant but when you think about it you can't compare the total deaths of the us (pop. ap. 285 mil) and britain (pop ap. 60 mil) without making the two proportional
