Michael Franti and Spearhead

great band. saw them live. Radio is an amazing beat boxer too. He beat boxed into one of those bamboo pipe things. it was sick.

I like their more hip-hop sounding songs more, but i like all their stuff. Hole in the Bucket, Rock the Nation, We Dont Stop, Bomb The Wrold (Armageddon version)

plus they basically encouraged illegal recording at their show!

His old band is crazy. its like noise-punk-hip-hop.
 
yea i also saw them live at big summer, they were sick, kept the vibe goin throught there entire show. i loved it.

Needless to say, I don't really like Michael Franti/Spearhead. I've seen them at least 4 times now...first time they opened for SCI and I thought they were okay, but their music was a bit too preachy for me. Saw them again for another Cheese show, and heard basically the exact same songs, and "How You Feelin?" too many times. Same story with Big Summer Classic...went to see the Cheese, and ended up seeing Franti both days. More "How You Feelin?" and more of the same songs, even repeated on back to back nights....
 
^ I was drunk as fuck at the big summer classic, and was feeling sick as shit, and all I could here was that fucker yelling "how ya feelin" every 15.34 seconds and I wanted to beat his fucking hippie ass, it sucked

the two other times I saw him he wasn't half bad
 
see i love how he asks how you feelin all the time, it keeps the vibe goin throuhgout the entire show, unlike keller, who i cannot stand to watch cause he is so boring.

and mike franti is pretty well spoken i love spearhead. but i can't believe all the mentioning of the song 'rock the nation' i'd have to say that's probably the biggest piece of shit song i ever contributed any money towards. way too electro sounds like nysync or something i don't know it sucks.

shit, i read that as keller hatin', too, i was bout to get upset. anyway, yeah franti and spearhead... way good. preachy? yeah, but, if you don't like what they say, at least accept the fact that theyre really good musicians at the same time.
 
I saw them with an amazing band called Garage A Trois. I liked Garage A Trois much better live then on the Garage A Trois site though. they were more crazy live.
 
that is one of the sweetest lyrics of all time, haha. but i like what franti preaches and stands for. and if you dont like his preaching. than just aprreciate his musical abiltiy

i feel like michael franti's voice sounds like too many other people's voices. that and he sucks at flowing.
 
crystalballs 96 is a homo. the only thing i know is that he gives off a good vibe. Like he knows wat is good music and stuff and that is why I have mad respect for him.
