Mgmt

they played at this big party i went to at USC last year...they were pretty good but pretty much a huge letdown considering what i was expecting when i heard they were coming on stage
they just really arent very good stage musicians...apparently they were really into tinkering with electronica and shit, and when they got good and blew up they basically had to learn instruments from scratch in order to do a stage show, so their stage performance kinda sucks, they just dont rock as hard as id wish they would
that said, their album is sick, i cant wait for the next one

been a fan of them for a while, its gonna be a shame to see them discovered and playing on the pop radio stations every 4 seconds. Its not that im not happy for them and i wish them the best because they are a great band, but seriously the same thing happened with modest mouse and float on is now my least favorite song by them. /end minirant

You're probably not illusinating, but you're definitely not illusinating that my K went down over 50 points in 5 minutes for no good reason. Oh well, MGMT is great though, they will be very popular in edits this year.

hmmm, i can only knock your karma 18 points. so it wasn't me.

oh and MGMT was good before they released their first album. their first EP was their best work (as of yet). they've gone downhill since people found out they existed.

i feel like one of their songs was in a movie that made it super famousand yeah i agree, they were good before they got famous

As with so many artists and songs, Like Paper Planes was legit, then I got sick of it, then the Pineapple Express trailer came out.

they use to be called the management, but now they go with mgmt cause abbreviations are way cooler

dude, i've been jamming to these guys for a month or two now then all of a sudden they exploded in a blast of grape-ish sugar juice.

awwww man :( Well thanks for trying to help, if anyone considers that helping. MGMT is getting way to popular.

dude it was funny. they were just so awkard on stage at Vfest. they didnt even introduce themselves or say who they were. just walked on stage, played some songs, didnt move around much, then left. thats the music though. they're really unique its weird. for kids they actually sat down like cross legged on stage and sang it. haha.

you're an idiot.
they've always called themselves "Mgmt", but simply pronounced it "management". the abbreviation has always been their name in print, though.

nah a lot of the music is really energetic though, it needs to be rocked out to. and before you go saying that it's too technically difficult to recreate that sound while putting on an energetic show, just look at radiohead. some of their music is infinitely more complex and they can work the hell out of a fucking live crowd.
