Methods for slicking up the astroturf

I just got my jib set up with a pretty mellow in run. I can't adjust the ramp, and I need just a bit more speed on the turf. I've tried hand soap + water, powder laundry soap + water, and armor all. I am going to try baby oil next. What are you tried and tested methods in the absence of snow?

fastest soap I found was the cheapest damn dish soap you can get at costco.

plastic fence is so fast tho buy some and lay it down on the inrun

get a bucket of "brown soap" (dunno what its called in english) its basically a brown soap in gel form thats used to scrub floorsthen hose down your turf so its completely soaked, then take a scrubbing broom and spread out some brown soap over the turf, spread it out and finally make a pass over the turf with the broom in the sliding direction so all hairs are flat ....

you'll get a ton of extra speed out of it and a bucket of soap will last ages !

Construction fencing on top of your turf. I don't even need water on my drop in

You can either get it for free or heres a website that sells a 100 ft roll for $25

instead of putting a full sheet of astroturf in the first place, nail/screw some pieces of wood on your ramp like so:

and then put the astroturf on top of that. less surface area=more speed. then you will have enough

good luck

I tried this. One layer over turf didn't seem to do anything so i rolled it down and back up again for three layers with no noticeable difference. However, the vegetable oil I put on earlier could be affecting the results.

Tire shine from VIP Auto for 5 bucks a bottle. Works 10 times better than WD-40. Spray your setup and your bases. I used it all summer it worked wonders on a slow setup you don't even need water with it. It's revolutionary I tell you.
