Miss metal shows quite a bit these days. Saw opeth in February a few weeks before everything got shutdown in NY. Best metal show I've been to.

Saw Skeletonwitch in brooklyn last year. These guys fucking slay

Anyone got a spotify or yt music playlist they recommend for someone who likes old-school metal but knows nothing about anything created after 1995?

Sleep is my favorite metal band i think, I just discovered them, thay sound alot like sabbath, evil gypsy goes hard af

Sleep is a band that got myself into a ton of other bands and eventually down the rabbit hole of heavy pysch/stoner rock/doom metal. Tons of bands are pretty similar and slap-sticky which i will admit as a huge fan of heavy/hardcore music like this but there are some real gems of groups out there, and all the kickass independent labels they record with too. EasyRider records, Relapse, Heavy Pysch Sounds, etc.

Try this album out, it's really ethereal.

I enjoy welding and listening to very loud music. Into a bit of everything. Was digging getting back inti some shit well skating this indoor bowl. Some of the dudes would blast some slayer etc. I dig a lot of hardcore stuff too. Really depends on my mood.

Also was never in any of those scenes so i don't really care what bands/songs i like or hate.

I need to get back on pamdora have some pretty good playlists for me on there. I need more variety on my spotify

Love this album I've been listening to it all day

Been to four of their shows. Their live shows are some of the best live performances i've ever seen. Jake's range is unmatched in metal

I dont know how metal this is, its more stoner rock, but I really fuck with the deep dark sludgy shit like Bongzilla, Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats, Acid King, Windhand, Stoned Jesus, Electric Wizard

Yeah definitely metal. Check out Saint Vitus, Primitive Man, Pentagram, Kyuss, Monolord, and Om

Solid bands. Uncle Acid is awesome live too. Much more heavier.

Baphomet is one of the most underrated metal bands ever

Some sick Japanese slam

Discovered this band a few days ago, more punk leaning hardcore but still great

And this album's a classic

I have rotating favorites but as of now i listen to Death, The Sword, Sleep, Megadeth, Sabbath, and a lil Municipal Waste. Nice to see some metalheads inside my favorite community

A lot of bad metal covers of pop songs out there but this slapped.

I listen to some metal, mostly when driving at night and just need to stay awake. Metallica, Wolves at the Gate, Sleep Waker, and Fit for a King probably the top bands that get played.
