Metal rails stick in the summer?

i was planning to build a metal flat rail for the summer. i heard they get sticky and suck tho in the summer? true or should i go for it

im going to say you heard wrong, because ive seen summer urban sesh's with metal sliding fine, along with almost every skateboard rail being metal...i say youll be fine, if they DO get kinda sticky, just rub on some wax

actually in the long run, wax generally makes things more sticky

You people act as if you're fucking retarded. Theres this thing called wax which has been around for thousands of years. You take some of that and you rub it on the rail and it'll slide like a beast. How do you think rollerbladers, skateboarders, and such slide rails all the time?

its easier to catch your edge on the rail because its softer, but mine generally slides well without wax.
