search barred for 2 hours and no luck.

I built a 20ft fdf rail out of 4x2 rectangular tubing and rebar. I sanded the top and made the surface really smooth. I then painted it with high gloss metal pait and it is to slow, so what should I do. Is there a different kind of paint I should use or wax that is best? Also I dont have snow as if it could be any worse.

even though you sanded the top its still isnt going to be perfect so when you first start sliding the rail it will be kind of slow. as you keep hitting it you will scrape off the paint on the edges where you contacting the rail and it will slide way better. i didnt wax my rail last year and it slid fine but then this year i had to file off some of the rust and then i used butchers wax which made it slide real well. its like a paste used on bowling alleys and dries hard. you could probably go to a skateshop and get some wax there too, although ive never used that. once you hit it, it will get wet and start sliding a lot better. if your worried though just get some wax and you will be more then set
