Metal Paint

Is there any paint or coating I can put on a metal rail to make it more slippery? I have a 20ft pipe which is aluminum I guess. Set it up beautifully last night but the shit dosnt slide. Jumped on and my feet stopped. Anyone know if it's possible to fix this?

didnt use wax, but I sprayed it with Pam (antistick spray used for cooking) and it didnt do anything. I dont imagine wax would do much becaue the actual rail surface is sticky. So i was thinking more like something to cover the rail completely.

Well if I were you I would try wax, quick cheap and easy...as for paint, that could work i suppose but i dunno, it seems to me like it would just start to chip off and then it would be really really easy to catch an edge

aluminum is too soft to slide bro, but i think any gloss paint should do the trick

put on a couple coats

yea, aluminum just plain sucks, cause it's a soft metal, and your steel edges dig in like it's their job. your kinda screwed on this one, but you can try whatever you feel like. It might help a bit

Can't use aluminium for railing bro'. it way to soft. make something out of plain steel, not stainless or zink treated steel.

I don't know if waz would help much considering how soft aluminum is. Maybe try a primer or clear cote of some sort.
