Metal Gear SOLID!

its so sick. i haven't been gaming much recently, but its really a good fucking game. definitely worth every penny.
 
just beat it yesterday. it was the whole reason i got a ps3. and now that im done with it i may sell my ps3
 
This game is amazing. I've almost got the wolf emblem on my second playthrough. I'm assuming were talking about Metal Gear Solid 4 and it's my favorite game of all time so far.
 
I never played any of the other MGS games. But I thought this one was decent. I mean graphics and gameplay wise its one of the best games out there. But it's not to new player freindly and it's a real bitch to figure out what in gods fuck is going on for the first part of the game. Also long cut scenes suck. again I guess if your fan they'd be sweet but I wish you could fast forward whilst still haveing some idea of whats going on.
 
it's the only one in the series i actually enjoy playing. but half of the game is cutscenes and that is hella annoying to me. online is dope.
 
the gameplay is pretty sick and i like how theres a lot of weapons that a fully customizable but as the dude a couple post ahead of me said the long cut scenes fucking suck. at times i sat down to play and two hours later ive only played 30 minutes worth cause of the damn cut scenes. i actaully stopped playing it because i was so sick of that bullshit. the online aspect isnt as good as i hoped it would be either, and its only single player which is fucking annoying if you have a friend over or something. halo3 and cod4 are both far better games, especailly in terms of getting the most hours of gaming out of what you paid for.
 
finally got it the other day and its amazing. its crazy how everyone from all the games come together and are important in the plot. im at shadow moses now and its awesome going back there after not playing it for 7 years. and that little part where u play the first metal gear solid is awespme. i havnt plyed online yet but will after i beat it.
 
I want a PS3 just for this game... played it at a friend's house and fell in love instantly. Shit is so awesome.
 
This thread was made kind of late, but uhh, ya it's a sick game. If you've beaten it on Big Boss Hard, try to get the Big Boss Emblem.

Successfully complete the game on The Boss Exteme, using no continues,

getting no Alert Phases, killing no enemies, using no

Rations/Regain/Noodles, the stealth camo, or the Bandana, and have a

completion time of five hours or less. For acquiring this Emblem you

are also rewarded the Patriot, the Big Boss FaceCamo, and the Big Boss iPod Song.

try beating the first act even, it's soo hard.
 
MGS games have always had long-ass cutscenes, the guy who makes them tries to fuse cinema with gaming and he does a pretty damn good job of it. They do get a bit annoying but the plots are incredible, especially the second one. I recommend going back and playing 2 and 3, they're both super dope games once you get the hang of them.
