maybe im just an idiot but it looked like he was just making an ass of himself and accidentally elbowed the guy.
 
ron ron has developmental issues. Its not that hes a douch, its that he doesnt have the fully developed mental capabilities that "normal people" do.

people hate on him, but dont know his backstory. He doesnt understand the consequences to his actions. he just does things, and has to be told later whether they were right or wrong.
 
interesting. do you believe that argument holds up to that fact that he has over 12 years of NBA experience and knows all the rules in the book? regardless of understanding WHY the rules are there, he should know there are official consequences.

pure speculation on my part due to a lack of knowledge on the nature of his handicap.
 
if you accidentally elbowed someone that hard wouldn't you stop for a second and think 'shit i just wrecked him' and at least say sorry and help him back up?

I must agree. If somebody threw a drink on you after you were already riled up you think you would be able to contain your anger? he's a human and he gets pissed a lot.There is no way he should be kicked out of the league. As soft as the NBA already seems with all the flopping, kicking someone out for an elbow(yes I understand it's a repeat offence) would make the NBA a bunch of pussies even more.

However, I must say I am a Harden fan and am not happy about seeing him hurt.

Everyone thinks the name change is stupid, but he is still one of the best defenders in the game. One of the few people who can hold his own on the defensive end 1v1 with LBJ. He is getting old and he struggles offensively, but he is a fucking beast on the defensive end.
 
But the thing is he isn't in a bar or on the street. He's in the national spotlight and is supposed to be professional. Going in the stands and throwing punches is fucking ridiculous for an NBA player. The guy is out of control and literally is to stupid to control himself.
 
I don't like his attitude, if i was a GM or head coach he would be at the bottom of the list for players I would want to build an organization.

that said he is a decent defender, should retire here pretty soon though...
 
As Charles Barkley has said a zillion time, he didn't ask to be a role model. He fucked up and many don't like him, but he is fucking intimidating and that is why he is still so valued as a player. Also did anybody see Artest ready to wreck Ibaka's shit?
 
Ron Artest is a fucking piece of shit that should stop playing basketball and move to some middle of nowhere location.
 
I was there, chief. I've also read all the interviews/news reports/articles about it. I still say it's too bad he didn't take a chair to the back of the head.
 
if you're a pro athlete yes you are supposed to control your anger...not walk into the stands and try to beat some fan up....I don't see how he wasn't booted from the leauge for that, always been in shock over it....pro athletes get away with every thing....if that were two fans duking it out they'd be arrested on the spot.
 
and charged with a fine and/or let go within a few days, but not permanently banned from entering an nba arena.Also, World Peace(Artest for the purpose of when the "Malice at the Palace happened") did not really get to beat the shit out of the fan. It looks like he would have, but people got to him before he got the chance. No real damage was done that I know of.
