Message System Upgrade

Hey,

I upgraded the messaging system today. The problem was that every single time you loaded a new page, the script would search a 300,000 line database to see if you had any messages. So I did some archiving and now it should be more like 7,000 lines.

There were quite a few changes made though, so it's possible that something might mess up. I haven't changed the messaging since the day the site started so it was pretty solid. Let me know if you have any problems.

Also, you'll probably see a whole bunch of RAH_699RAH_699 or some random stuff like that.. just ignore it. Over time they'll go away and you'll never see them again.

i don't know how to explain it..someone sent me a message and my comp froze when it opened so i didn't see it, so i went to myns > messages...it wasn't there there are a couple messages that are months old so i went to his profile and View Message History with ... it wasn't there. there were only 2 messages but from a long time ago

A whole bunch of history was deleted, but no 'unread' messages were.

The message history is definitely bunk. I'm on it.

if i click on messages i get a bunch from like 2001 and 2002 its kinda fun to look back though.

I lost a bunch of messages too, not that big of a deal, but a little anoying. And there is no friends list anymore but that was probally intentional.

The friends list isn't gone.. it wasn't touched.

The message history only showed the last 20 messages sent/received anyway so it wasn't a big deal to get rid of it. It's either keep history around that no one can even see (less a few of the latest messages) or have the site be super slow. I made the executive decision.

Anyway, there are definitely some kinks still... they'll be ironed out.

for me it only shows messages i sent, not the ones recieved. Any most of the messages are ones from a logn time ago. The messages form the past few weeks are gone.
